"Well well well, look what the chaos cat dragged in!"

You've been so busy keeping your eyes on the path ahead of you that the sudden cry catches you quite by surprise. You jerk your head towards the sound of the voice, and squint at the soft darkness of the moonlit forest around you. For a moment you think you spot the silhouette of a small, winged feline perched on a tree branch nearby. With a disbelieving blink and a shake of your head, however, you look again and realize your addressee is actually a copper-furred feline Mardusian, curled up on the branch as comfortably as a squirrel.

Before you have time to ponder your strange episode of double-vision, the short anthro hops down from her perch and darts forwards, seizing your hand firmly, but not threateningly. A golden mage-light flares to life at her shoulder, momentarily blinding you, but the Mardusian gives you little time to adjust.

"Come on, come on! You're here to see the ojee, I know you are, so come on! Yes, yes, my name's Aki, how are you, have we met? Doesn't matter! No point wasting moonlight, there's only eight hours of it, you know, and this place's nocturnal!"

Your strange new companion merrily pulls you down the forest path, her coppery fur glinting in the glow of her mage-light, and what moonlight and starlight filters through the leaves above. "Hurry up, then! I don't want to keep the Dreamers waiting any longer than we have to!"
