Mierlin doesn't much care for being so bothered, and has absolutely no patience for anyone who clearly only wants to use him. His conscience has trouble turning away anyone who seems earnest and true, however, so he usually ends up attempting a divination for anyone who persists through his initial attempts to drive them off, especially if the spirits speak in their favor.

The truth remains, however, that Mierlin is a quiet and introspective dragon who prefers to be left alone, though now and again he discovers a bit of company worth keeping.
