| Description: |
Tasuke is not a fellow who can be easily overlooked in a crowd--at least, not unless the rest of the crowd is on fire. As a Phlegethon Beast, he is a lithe creature with traits somewhere between canine and draconic, long of ears and tail and slender-snouted, with a dusky brown coat of short fur. Long horns curve behind and under his ears, and his auburn hair is a rather unruly scruff atop his head. His shaggy bangs tend to inadvertently conceal his second most unusual trait: the fact that he has a second pair of eyes where most people have eyebrows. His most unusual trait is that he appears to be on fire--he is not truly ablaze, but crackling flames hover over his back and the end of his tail, floating like a strange kind of halo rather than actually burning along his body.
He dresses rather extravagantly for a rogue, with a fondness for bold colors and more belts than any one person really needs. He's also a shameless wearer of narrow teardrop earrings and beaded necklaces, all in glass or semiprecious stone of vibrant hue. But whatever his attire, Tasuke is never without his iron fan: a magical weapon that can throw fire on command.

Young Tasuke is a man who's not hard to figure out, the aspects of his personality being as blatant as the flames that hover over his back and the tip of his tail. Fiery-tempered and fun-loving to the extreme, he is a courageous adventurer who never hesitates to step up to a challenge or say things as he sees them, even when his recklessness and smart (not to mention vulgar) mouth only get him in deeper trouble. He's straightforward to the point of apparent rudeness and insensitivity, but he speaks that way because he is honest to the core, not because he's out to insult people--though he can certainly do that with purpose, too, when someone pisses him off! Tough and resilient, he never gives up no matter what he's faced with, and though he prefers to live a wild and free sort of life, whenever someone does manage to saddle him with a responsibility, he'll see it through to the end even if he's complaining the whole way.
Nevertheless, even with the coarseness of his demeanor, Tasuke has a kind heart and his emotions run deep. He sticks by his friends to the bitter end and would sacrifice himself without pause if he knew it would save them.
