Taking no true name and only going by Specimen for short, Specimen 0000579 is an early creation of Havoc Corporation -- an illegal magical bio-engineering company that specializes in the production of killing machines. She appears undead but is truly alive, though she "runs" on an entirely magical metabolism that is necessary to sustain both her half-rotten organs as well as her abstract muscular and skeletal structure. She is amazingly fast and strong, belying her appearance, but her joints are severely lacking in cartilage so she lives with the constant aches and pains of her bones rubbing against each other. Having never known freedom from that pain, she is adapted to it and is able to ignore it, but it still plays subconscious havoc on her personality.
Along with being designed as a killing machine, Specimen was made with neither morals nor empathy, nor even the capability to learn such things. She is the epitome of an amoral being, acting entirely on her own urges and needs, much as a wild beast would do. The subconscious pain of her joints has made her an ill-tempered creature and she holds a slow-smoldering hatred of the people that not only made her as a "pet", but also made her so poorly that she can't even live free of pain.
Specimen is wholly antisocial and cares absolutely nothing for other beings nor the norms of "civilized" life. She works for the Twisted Fate only because she is fed and sheltered in exchange for the promise of defending the ship. To Specimen, that means killing on command, and that suits her just fine.
