Description: |
Tall, slender, and possessing a handsomely angular face, Lukas is mostly human in form, though he could never truly be mistaken for one. His entire body is covered with glossy scales, black except where dark brown stripes mark his back and limbs. He also possesses broad, heavy black wings: clearly the raggedy pinions of a vulture, rather than a more "majestic" avian, despite his occasional attempts to stay preened. His eyes are a piercing yellow color with slit pupils, and he has dark brown hair -- of the same color as his stripes -- that falls halfway down his back when he lets it hang loose, but more often he keeps it bound in a bun on top of his head so that it doesn't get tangled or in his way.

Personality: |
Lukas is almost the incarnation of wanderlust, so it's something of a mystery as to how a spaceship like the Fate has become the place he always returns to between wanderings. He has himself admitted that he would be happier roaming endlessly without having to return to a home base of any sort, suggesting -- though never wholly clarifying -- that his employment with the Fate isn't entirely voluntary.
Even so, his life as an employee for the ship could be a whole lot worse, as his only duties are the scouting of other realms and planets for information and reconnaissance, which suit him just fine -- he doesn't like having to meet or deal with people, but he loves traveling and seeing new places. As long as the Fate keeps him on assignment and doesn't force him to stay aboard too long between duties, he's fairly content. Not that most would be able to tell by looking at him, however. He tends to be grouchy and pessimistic even in the best of his moods, though he is never aggressive -- that, after all, would require interacting with someone.
