Taphixia does not care for company. Like the serpents she more than superficially resembles, she is a solitary huntress and disdains the company of others. Exceptions can be made around her breeding seasons, where she'll turn more sultry towards potential mates and even possessive of them once a pairing has occurred -- and she'll accrue a harem if she can get it, too! It's the only time in her life she's content to curl up in a tangle of coils more than her own.

It can be argued she has a soft spot for her children as well, but it's a spot that gets smaller and tougher the older said children get. She's not hostile to them when they're grown, no, but she expects them to be as independent from her as she is from all others as well.
