Dodrian Telepathy

The ability to communicate mind-to-mind. Dodrians are able to communicate thoughts, impressions, and images from as far away as five hundred feet.

If there's attention to be had, then Dappermite -- a little Bijou in a smart black tuxedo (markings) -- wants it all the time! Bijous are known for being standoffish but Dappermite is nothing of the sort. New people are a cause for excitement and great interest, to be sniffed and investigated and asked for many pets! Since Dodrians only extend their telepathy to their chosen life-bond, however, Dappermite has to express his delight towards other people with frantic barking. People who can't read canine body language well can easily mistake this noise for aggression.

Those who see through his noise, on the other hand, will easily find a new little friend. Thankfully he knows well enough that he can be quiet once the petting is assured!
