Sayen reflects both halves of that reputation: during the Drizzle and the Clearance, she is soft-spoken and polite, spending her days cutting leather, mending boots, and stitching raincoats sturdy enough to withstand the endless weather. Few see her away from her tailoring bench during these seasons, where her careful work keeps others warm and dry while the skies gather strength for the next storm.

When Storm season actually arrives, Sayen changes completely. She is usually the first to reach for a flamethrower and stride into the downpour to burn away the creeping blooms of Blightrot before they can take hold. In these moments she steps naturally into command, directing others with sharp clarity and calm authority that few think to question. The same harpy who spent months quietly sewing by lanternlight suddenly becomes a bold and decisive leader, and many have learned to trust her instincts when the Blightstorm is raging hardest.

Then, when the skies finally calm and the Drizzle returns, Sayen relinquishes that role as quickly as she claimed it. She slips back into her workshop with visible relief, letting others resume their ordinary leadership while she returns to needle and thread. Many around her quietly wish she would not step down so quickly, as her leadership during the storms is both competent and inspiring. What they do not always understand is that the weight of command presses heavily on her wings, and Sayen can bear it only as long as the Storm demands before retreating with relief to her quiet crafts.
