Aptonym is Shy's answer to "but what if I need to contact them and they're outside of cell service range?" He is an extremely strong telepath, able to send and receive thoughts from anywhere across the vastness of the Nexus. For better or for worse, Xiao Shy and Apoleoth are only a thought away from those they call their allies.

A skill kept more secret from anyone outside of his royalty is the fact that Aptonym can send and receive physical objects the same way -- and we don't just mean small ones.

A sweet and even innocent Project, Aptonym does not like being in the limelight and is affectionately babied by his siblings. He doesn't even mind, not really. It's not that they talk down to him or think him incapable (because they absolutely don't), they just let him stay in the background and do all the talking for him, giving him a barrier against the world that he appreciates. Perhaps it's because his mind is so far-reaching that he would rather not use his words so much in exchange. He is capable and reliable, not uncomfortable with the presence of strangers, but simply preferring a complete absence of them.

Nevertheless, Aptonym is a hard worker and dedicated to his lords. Whether it's his choice or his purpose, he doesn't care to debate. It's who he is and what he is content to adhere to. Betrayal of any member of Apoleoth's court is an unthinkable thing, and Aptonym would absolutely be a whistleblower were he to learn of any traitorous intents in their midst.
