- Breath Weapon (Disintegration)
- Zagam can crumble nonliving materials (stone, metal, processed wood, etc.) into dust by exhaling on them.
- Immortality
- Zagam cannot die by any means. No matter how thoroughly his body may be damaged or destroyed, he will eventually reform.
- Regeneration
- Zagam's bones can pull together and regenerate from any injury: dismemberment, breaking, even being ground into dust. If separated, its bones pull back together as if by an incredible magnetic force.
- Teleportation
- The ability to teleport anywhere within sight or that can be strongly visualized in the mind.
- Undeath
- A member of the living dead. They do not need to eat, drink, or breathe, and they are immune to illness and any other afflictions of the living.
- Verbal Speech
- The ability to communicate in spoken words.

Zagam is an unsubtle beast with only one purpose: to destroy things. Though it is not unstoppable, the immortality and invincibility it otherwise possesses make it incredibly dangerous to anyone unprepared to fight a supernatural foe. It's debatable as to how intelligent or even sentient Zagam actually is, since it does and speaks very little when not obeying a command from its goddess, but nevertheless it is not stupid. It is, perhaps, comparable to a clever robot made of bone and flame rather than metal and wires.
