As the chosen heir of Anathema Scalesbane, Pariah carries herself with regal self-assurance. She is a player of the long game, viewing the world primarily as a battle of wills rather than a battle of physical strengths. Where Anathema's vengeful rages burn as brightly as their kind's balefire, Pariah's hatreds are more like slow-acting poisons. Revenge must absolutely be served cold, and result in broken hearts and spirits rather than the simple escapes of death. The power of the Balespawn is meant to spread across the realms, but there's still delight to be found in watching their enemies slowly realize they've lost everything of value to them.

In a world that tends to expect evil to eventually crumble or devour itself, Pariah is a perfect representation of the Balespawn paradox: complete loyalty to their kind, no matter how distant the line spreads. She may be firstborn, but this does not make her first. Her tenderness towards her family bloodline is as absolute as her cruelty towards the rest of existence.
