When Mahthi breathes, his exhalations are of the balefire burning deep inside him. It is not a breath weapon so much as his breath is literally fire.

Baleskin

Mahthi's stripes and the membranes of his wings are not true balefire, but exude an essence of bale-corruption nonetheless and touching them is not recommended!

Even if forewarned of it, others ignore the presence of the Kurpany until it's too late.

Dance of Destruction

Over the course of an hour, the Kurpany utterly slays all living things around it and hunts down all those who attempt escape.

The ability to break through any intense focus, ritual, or attempt to dissuade it from its purpose.

Functional Magic

A wide-ranging ability to wield magic to just about any purpose, but Mahthi doesn't produce much of this innate magic "resource" and so his abilities are quite limited.

The ability to communicate in spoken words.

Mahthi is far from the smartest beast around, but he doesn't need to be smart considering his great potential for destruction and how well and willingly he obeys orders. He was "adopted" from his litter by a servant sent in Anathema's stead and corrupted immediately upon meeting the goddess for the first time. Though the process was far from pleasant, he is proud of his current state with all the ego of a youngster who believes himself invincible and indispensable. He worships his new mistress and obeys her with blind devotion.
