Description: |
Taieskrin is an unusually short and small man, built lightly enough to even be called childlike and willowy. He has ruddy skin and very long hair, auburn in color and with just a touch of waviness to keep it from being totally straight. Though it falls to his thighs when he let it loose, otherwise, he's quite average in feature, with dark blue eyes in his childlike, albeit slightly lined, face. He generally dresses in his red-brown riding leathers, or else cuts of clothing that mimic the riding suit's simplicity. |
Personality: |
Second born of his many siblings, but last born before his parents separated, Taieskrin is a bit of a grump. Before his Searching, he was a journeyman in a Harper Guild, specializing in dance. With his childlike features and long hair, dance made him beautiful, but only to be watched. He is very selfish and known to be so, even with his friends, and is regularly impolite to people whom he really should be showing respect. Though he can be friendly and amiable, his baser traits tend to impair him and have kept his friend-count down. He is also incredibly easy to distract, and so doesn't complete work very well, unless he has to read or write something. Nowadays his nimble fingers serve him in repairing the protective gear of other riders, and his agile body continues to serve him in the karate skills he managed to pick up back at the Guild and has kept in practice as much for exercise as anything else. He was very attached to his home dragonry and rather resents having been sent out to Avengaea as a kind of emissary, though he grudgingly accepted the position and was not -- quite -- forced into it. A souvenir he brought with him from home is a little wooden carving of a dolphin, gifted to him by a child back home. He has a soft spot for children that transforms his demeanor with them, so children tend to like him. He hopes to raise several -- not necessarily blood-related -- before he dies. |
