With a coldly systematic father and a spitefully destructive mother, it's something of a miracle that Shido-Vel isn't himself a little hellion! He does seem to share Shishayair's methodical way of thinking and planning, but he's significantly more animated and displays a livelier personality that is probably one of Toyrt-mow's influences. But despite his ability to think things through, Shido-Vel isn't above a little spontaneity--he just has skill with plotting and planning when he really needs to.

He's definitely a dragon who only worries about his personal needs and desires, though there may be times when he takes an interest in seeing another Rancher's situation improved--he just puts himself first and foremost, and he'd better get some side-benefits from helping the other person out!
