Jedri is a smiling young man, short and gawky, with sun-bronzed skin and black hair cut close to his head. His nose is a little puggish, set between two eyes the color of dark chocolate, and when he grins, there is a significant gap between his top front teeth. He whistles a bit on his sibilants as a result, but it doesn't bother him unless he's teased about it. His hands are long-fingered, perfect for the work he was once apprenticed in, and already calloused from the work of raising a dragon. He dresses for whatever the weather around the Alveary might be, but green is his favorite color.

Jedri is an ambitious young man, whose great hopes to achieve a lifestyle beyond the all-too-dull tasks of a tailor were rewarded when he bonded Selaweth at Serpent's Reach. He might've be good at tailoring, but it was incredibly boring, and Jedri had imagined a great many things he have rather done--and becoming a dragonrider was at the top of his list. Unfortunately, his father has been very proud to have his only son following in his occupational footsteps, and Jedri didn't want to break his poor father's heart, but bonding Selaweth made him the first dragonrider to ever come from their family: a feat that will never stop making his parents proud.

There are no people in the world that he loves more than his mother and father, and he consistently puts their happiness before his own. He also has a tendency to put his friends before himself more often than he probably should, but makes for a loyal and trustworthy friend.

He is a quiet boy, not shy, but extremely passive and lacking much of the grit it takes to speak up and make oneself heard. With inconsequential matters, he is easy to push around, simply because he finds it isn't worth the effort to put up a protest. He is very reluctant to confront anyone about anything, and usually needs to have his back up against a wall before he starts pushing back. That is only when he's the one under pressure, however -- if a friend or family member is being bullied, he'll go to their aid without a second thought and do whatever it takes to help them. Jedri only speaks up for himself when he has no other choice, and the people that know him recognize this as a terribly detrimental fault, but as of yet, no one has figured out how to convince him to have more confidence in himself.

But for all his quietness and timidity, Jedri is a very welcoming young man, always ready to make a friend. He is deeply earnest and honest, incapable of all but the faintest white lies, and has a very vocal conscience. Jedri always roots for the underdog... except, unfortunately, when the underdog is himself. Thankfully, Selaweth is always there to back him up.
