Dhaval looks rather human for the most part. He's on the shorter side, but he's bipedal and plantigrade with two arms and two legs. He only has four digits that end in claw-like nails on each hand and foot, however, and his skin is a pale blue-purple. His short hair is a metallic silver, growing from his head in human fashion, and also extending down his spine in kind of back-ruff. His face is round and childlike, his eyes dark grey across both the iris and sclera but with normal black pupils. His nose is very flat, with somewhat reptilian slits for nostrils, and he has no external ears. He has a long, leonine tail, with the silky tuft at its end the same silver as his hair.

His clothing is almost medieval in appearance. He wears baggy pants and shirts in plain whites and greys, but overtop of those will wear a more colourful tabard that he cinches with a belt around his waist. He likes rich blues and purples the best, and his tabards are usually embroidered with scrolling patterns of thread.

Though Dhaval is most definitely an adult and has been so for about a dozen years now (as far as his race is concerned), he, like all his race, is incredibly naive. Something about the avishael species has left them with almost-eternally innocent minds, and even a marked inability to comprehend the things other races consider lewd, vulgar, or even downright pornographic. This likely has something to do with the fact avisael reproduce manner that still takes a male and a female, but doesn't involve the standard act of consummation of most species. This being the case, avishael are a very hard race to embarrass or shock with lewdness.

That doesn't mean it isn't possible, though, and when it does happen, it's very bad for the avishael involved. Avishael are very frail once their mental defences have been breached, and the shock of shattering their veil of incorruptibility can potentially be enough to kill them, or at least drive them rather mad. When among their own kind, this kind of shock isn't even possible. It is only when avishael are introduced to other races when it becomes possible. For this reason, avishael are assigned caretakers from other species, affectionately called "nannies", when they venture away from their homeworld.

Dhaval keeps his own caretaker rather busy because he is insatiably curious about anything and everything!
