Chikkal has been around a long time and has lived a life that many would consider harsh, and it's left her a serious and very self-disciplined person as that was the kind of person she had to be in order to survive. Alveary existence may be much freer, but it hasn't relaxed her much if at all. She and Tabby (her Austarian dragon, otherwise known as Bad Times Falling) now hunt for food and threats to their community rather than fight for the entertainment of others in the Pits, which if anything, is something even more important to do right and well.

She doesn't miss the Dark After, either. Not at all.
