- Symbiotic Insects
- Shieno's body is host to thousands of semi-sentient insects bearing a physical similarity to miniature bees. They have an empathic group hive-mind that he is included in as their host, and in exchange for feeding on his chakra they are his devoted companions, always ready to obey any request he makes of them.
- Telepathy
- The ability to speak mind-to-mind.
- Teleportation
- The ability to teleport anywhere within sight or that can be strongly visualized in the mind.

- The ability to speak aloud.

Shieno has a reputation for being... a little creepy. He's stoic and solemn most of the time, alternating between saying little at all or speaking in exacting matter-of-fact detail, which combined with his covered eyes and face result in him having an air of general inapproachability. He doesn't often display much emotion other than sternness, to the extent that even his well-meaning praise of other people comes in such forms as 'as I expected of you' rather than more warmer varieties of encouragement.
Truth be told, he has a good heart and an ironclad sense of loyalty to those who prove they are worth it. He'll leap to protect his companions and the innocent without hesitation, expecting nothing in return except trusting (at least in regards to his fellows) that the same would be done for him. He's also self-aware enough of his "creepy" nature not to judge others for viewing him that way, though at the same time he's proud enough that he can hold a grudge against those who view him with scorn rather than just merely consider him strange.
The insects he plays host to are incredibly dear to him. Their life-cycle is short and there's far too many of them for him to know them individually, but as a conglomerate he is both protective of them and fearful of threats to their wellbeing. Insectovorous creatures are particularly nervewracking.
