| Personality: | Perpetually childlike, in demeanor as well as looks, Shalene was brought to the Destiny by her mother/creator, Chibi Dark. Dr. Schroeder was given the task of naming her (though Chibi Dark helped with translating a name out of the spirit-language) and from that point on the little gaffling was bonded to him--not in the traditional draconic sense, but more in the way a duckling imprints to its mother. She follows him everywhere she is allowed to, always trying to help and acting very much like an adoring little puppy. Though balance and destruction are part of her nature, the essence of a trickster makes up her majority. She is incredibly playful, with a bright smile and bubbly giggle that she's more than happy to share with almost everyone. Despite appearing quite restless, she never gets bored, and it often seems that the only thing she needs to be happy is to be in Dr. Schroeder's vicinity and get a bit of attention from him now and then--attention the lovable old man is happy to give! In return, Shalene is immensely protective of the good doctor, and would go to any lengths to keep safe him and all the things he holds dear. As a gaffling somewhat aligned with destruction, Shalene needs to consume an amount of the kinds of energies that are released when a living thing dies, but can also eat normal kinds of food to supplement her diet. |
