Proving that things don't always go quite as planned even in the carefully monitored processes of Biosynthesis, Hemlokt is as sweet as a terisae and seemingly only as intelligent as one. He is as slow and limited in his mental abilities, but he is as lovable and cuddly as any teddy bear. Nothing makes him happier than to give or receive attention from someone he adores, and he doesn't need much more than that, either. He cannot speak in true words, though he has a few mangled sounds that the attentive can interpret his needs from, and his telepathy conveys only imagery and emotions.

Dijzema is his favorite person in the whole world, tied with Doctor Schroeder himself. The Gyujtoan calls him its brother, and although Hemlokt is likely incapable of comprehending the true meaning of the word, its clear enough that he recognizes a bond of some kind.
