"This dry land stuff sucks," a River kitten complained to herself, collapsing in the moss of the Bay once she'd freed herself of her egg and dragged her bulk a short ways off. She glanced around briefly, judging the distance between herself, her "grandfather", and the assorted candidates, and then finally headed for the one who was nearest: the Goprin triplet, Drei.

Personality: Fautha seems to be of the opinion that, since she's a creature meant for aquatic environs, the only thing she has to do when she's on dry land is be lazy and sunbathe. Yes, even when she's in human form. She's a friendly sort, always willing to accept company should anyone want to while the day away with her, but she shirks responsibility and hard work whenever it somehow becomes required of her.

The firstborn of the River Garyki didn't move when the rest of his half-siblings did, scorning all the choices available to him--at least until he spotted the simple-minded antics of the Jungle, Maleche, across the Bay and now rolling around at Gayther Delfin's feet. With his eyes focused intently on the kitten, Gecira hauled himself across the moss to get closer.

He watched the pair for a while, eyeing the elder Goprin with disdain, before dragging himself over to Marelyn. She, he thought, seemed less likely to be annoying than Gayther would be as an official sponsor. It was really only Maleche he was interested in, anyway.

Personality: Gecira doesn't like people. On the whole, he finds them selfish, narrow-minded, and irritating, even if they are someone the rest of the world loves and adores for their kindness and generosity. There is only one brand of person in all the entirety of existence for whom he has a soft spot: they who are eternally helpless and dependent on the kindnesses of others, like Gayther's sponsor Maleche. Even with these, his gentleness is a gruff and no-nonsense sort, far from sweet or emotional, but it's never given to any others. It may be Marelyn's name that his was paired with, but given his determination to stay near Maleche, he may as well be Gayther's charge--not that he likes either of the Goprin.

Personality: Perhaps unfortunately for Sylira, the dragoness most opposed to Catrice's apparent motivations for breeding the Garyki, Kalira is the Garyki who would absolutely join a fight against the Diety dragons, if that is indeed Catrice's aims. Though she's not inherently violent, Kalira believes in fighting the good fight and overthrowing corrupted leadership. If there ever is such a battle to be waged, she'll want to be among the first into the fray, and nothing will dissuade her from doing what she believes is right.

Personality: Zautha will be a good addition to the Destiny's crew. For all he isn't very good at or even comfortable moving around on dry land, he still manages to get a lot done: he's hard-working and industrious, preferring to be useful than lazy, and is determined to earn his keep. It's all the more frustrating, then, that he tends to forget things that need to be done, skipping parts of procedures or neglecting to check up on something after he's put it aside, as much to himself as to other people. As long as he has reminders or people looking over his shoulder, he'll be all right, but that's not good enough for Zautha. He wants to be perfect, holding himself up to high standards, but the fact that he needs reminding of things so often drives him crazy.
