Biosynth 05

"Myrror! What a pleasant surprise," Dr. Schroeder called over to the silver-clad woman who had just come down from the crowds watching the Synth 02 hatching take place. She was chuckling a bit at the doctor's last statement.

"I bet Dread will be happy to hear that--I sent word to Dark, she'll probably be in the know in a few minutes," Myrror said with a smile. Dr. Schroeder made one last check to be sure the new bonders and sponsors had everything they needed, before turning back to the weredragon. "I'm actually here on business...about your biosynthing process, and...if you had time right now?"

"I'm a little surprised that you'd be interested in this, but I'm more than happy to accommodate you," Dr. Schroeder replied, and Myrror actually laughed.

"Oh...no, not for me..." Myrror said, "A whorling and a Wynd asked one of my bonds to go along with a synth, and asked me to be their liaison. I can let them know whenever you'd want to meet them for it, and where...do you have any place that can accommodate an old-worlder?"

About an hour later, Myrror and four other creatures were waiting in the hallway between the two bays--an undead looking pony-sized equine, a white goat-like creature, a blue old-worlder, and... something that looked like a feline skull and claws, trailing orange flames. When the Doctor came out to meet them, the floating skull glided over, cheerfully grabbing Dr. Schroeder's hand in her claws and shaking it. "Thank you for coming to meet us," she said, "I'm Kenedi... a whorling. Just a random one, I'm hard to pin down." Grinning as only a skull can, she floated over to the undead-looking equine. "Reguard and I would like to have an offspring. One of my siblings had a fusion done with him..."

"The results of which I never saw," the equine, Reguard, added, "Dark managed to get a picture done before they took off. Don't even know their name, and Dark can't pin their location exactly." At the skull's nod, Myrror handed Dr. Schroeder a photo. As the doctor looked at it, Kededi continued.

"We were hoping you could do that for us, since Dark's so busy now-a-days," she said, "What with Dread having her clutch and Dark messing around with some Xeno-stuff... now those are some freaky looking creatures..."

"This coming from a floating skull..." the white creature spoke up, and Myrror chuckled.

"If I had a tongue I'd stick it out at you," Kenedi retorted, "Anyway, point being, she's too busy to do the fusion for us. Soooo—we heard that you did similar stuff. Except for one small detail..."

"We're not dragons," Reguard completed Kenedi's sentence, "So, we asked Lazulith for help...to add his dragonness to the mix."

"He agreed, luckily," Kenedi said, "Because we really wanted to get as close as my sibling's lost offspring as we could get...get our good looks put on a plain dragon template. And trust me, you don't get much plainer than Lazulith there..."

The blue dragon raised an eye ridge, but it was Myrror that spoke, "Lazul doesn't consider himself plain...but yes, he agreed to come along and help."

I don't mind doing the favor, though someone might just get sat on when we return home Lazulith said. Myrror snerked and the white creature laughed, while Kenedi blinked...well, as much as a skull could blink...having not heard the retort.

"So, dragons that look like a mix between the two of you," Dr. Schroeder said with a smile, "I think we can do that for you." He then looked at the white creature, "And you..."

"I'm Jahil'kafar," the white creature responded, "I just came along for the ride, but if it's ok with them...I think it shouldn't be too bad. It's like a fusion, yes? And perhaps it'll give the hatchlings a little more...ehe...bite.."

While an assistant was getting the required samples, Myrror spoke to Dr. Schroeder. "If you have a hard time getting blood from a bone, I have a sample of Kenedi's DNA on me," she said, "How's Halcyon doing?"

"Wonderfully..." the Doctor said, then looked a bit concerned, "And you?"

"I'll survive, I did the last time," Myrror said, "I've located one other egg, and can sense another, though can't pinpoint it yet...I'll probably be leaving as soon as I can get Dark, I'd rather not go alone." She smiled though, and added, "I'll definitely be at the hatching, if only to watch. It'll be like...watching grandchildren hatch..."
