Biosynth 02

Wolves are night creatures. Simple as that!

A young male, his dark pelt nearly blending into the background as he slipped through the streets of the Keep's city and out to the outer wall that was on the edge of the steep cliff. Carrying his tail happily in a rather high position, Sihho FireStorm slipped under the wall through a grate and outside.

"Jesiay is going to have your tail for this," a voice said. Two rather small dragons landed on either side of Sihho as he shook out his pelt and arched his wings for take off. Turning a scowl on the red dragon, Sihho's expression was a mimic of a human in pure amusement. "Don't look at me like that!" red Sioda'Vuku snapped irritably. "You know her as well as I do."

Sihho sighed and turned back to the red dragon, flicking his wings back along his back. "So. I'm just going to talk to Piakii, not some scoundrel from the Outsiders."

Sitwi'Suah perked his head up at that word and grinned. "I heard that last week they..."

Sioda's soft growl shut him up. "I don't care!"

Taking a deep breath, Sihho snorted. "Well I don't care what you care about. I'm going. I'll be gone for a few moments. You can stay here if you're to chicken to leave the Keep tonight."

Sioda growled softly before spreading his wings and taking off for his den in the Dragonry's valley. Sitwi had obviously decided to follow his bond. "You know he's going to tell them in the morning," he told Sihho.

The young wolf sighed. "Yeah. But it will be done by then. Are you sure you still want to do this, my friend?"

The orange Genperna gave him a 'duh' look and Sihho grinned, spread his own wings and dropped off the cliff with ease. A 'whoosh' told him Sitwi had followed.

Treval Dragonry was still being built but the grassy plains in between the walls of the valley already showed sighs of roads that were being used to move equipment around. There were three wolf packs living in or around the Keep and Treval City. One was the pack that Sihho belonged to, lead by Ays DemonFire and Koite SilverIce. The other was lead by Rurio ShadowCall and Nijeyy ShadowLight of Cani. These two packs resided closer to the walls of the Dragonry as most in there packs had bonded dragons. Because of this, they were more tolerate in meeting the other packs-- as long as it was inside the Dragonry or Keep.

The third pack belonged to what the other packs called the 'Outsiders' or Renegades (as well as many other such names). It was lead by Nasian Kulen, a rough tempered wolf with more ego then he should have. He was less tolerate of people and even less to the other wolves if meeting them in the valley. Few of either pack wished a confrontation with them though wolves of that pack had a respectable fear of the dragons that were with the pack through there bonds.

"Wildfyre is out," Sitwi chuckled as Sihho and his companion veered to the right where the boundary of Rurio's pack ended near the valley. Sihho's keen site caught the glowing form of the Lantessama Wildfyre. Piakii's rather high pitched howl was a welcome and recognition thus Sihho was given permission to land. After submitting to the other as he was on another pack's territory, Sihho jumped to his feet grinning.

"So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about...at night?" Piakii asked shaking his dark red fur and sitting down, a paw playing idly with a bone at his feet.

Sihho remained standing, as was his position as a trespasser. "Ever heard of the Abstract Density?" he asked.

"Heard but that's it," Piakii said, trying to flip the bone but glancing at Sihho and catching on to the excitement. "Why?"

"Well, basically, they can make dragons out of anything!"

Sitwi snorted. "Hardly. It's called a Biosynth. A group of us can go in and they'll be able to make offspring from our DNA. That's what I was told anyway. Sihho wanted to go in. I'm going with. We were wondering if Wildfyre wanted to join us?"

The Lantessama dragon raised his head and blinked. "Really. Why?"

"You're different from me," Sitwi began. "And you're glowing! I think that's cool."

Wildfyre sighed, chuckling and put his head back down on his paws. "Obviously," he said. "Can Piakii join me?"

"No," the wolf said, scowling. "I don't want anyone messing with me. I don't understand this Bio-stitching thing anyway! If you want to, that's fine!"

Sihho's exuberant face softened for his friend. "That's alright. We're both wolves so there is not point in putting both of us in there. You can stay. I'll have Wildfyre back by morning. I promise."

The other wolf smiled. "If you were one of the Outsiders saying that, I would..."

"You would have ripped my head off by now, I know. Any news on them, by the way?" Piakii shook his head. "Aw, well. It's getting bad when they're asking us to keep them from killing livestock just because they hate humans."

"They have a right," Wildfyre said. "Humans left them. I know a few were near death then Nasian found them and moved them to Treval when it was found by Falas' riders. Truthfully, dragons here have done the same thing." Sihho and Piakii winced slightly. "Anyway, we going?" He rose, the soft glow from his body shimmering on the wet, dew laden grass around him like little lights. He looked very excited and Sihho smiled.

"Yes," he sated. "We're going. Do you want to come with, Piakii. Just for Fyre?"

Piakii looked at his dragon and smiled. "I suppose. We both might as well get into trouble, eh?" Grinning at the wild glint in the other's eyes, Sihho licked his muzzle in anticipation.

"Let's get out of here before Sioda causes a commotion back at the Keep."

As the four figures leapt back into the sky they were unable to notice the dark shadow coming toward them from above the cliff where Rurio kept his pack. Sitwi suddenly veered away with the slightly smaller Wildfyre dropping toward the ground. The two wolves turned just as a laughing figure stopped above them, gliding happily and laughing. "And what are you four out doing so late!"

"Tarjal! You scared the living daylights out of me!" Sihho growled, readjusting his flight while glaring up at the Tavrayn dragon. "Since when do you..."

"It's much easier to talk while not in flight. Why don't you four land and then you can tell me what you're doing. Of course, since I heard everything by Rurio's den..."

Piakii's eyes went wide with fear. "You did!"

"Yes, young StormLight! And if you think I'm going to reprimand you you're quite mistaken. As a matter of fact, I would like to join you."

"Really?" Sitwi asked, returning to the hovering trio while Wildfyre slowly returned after having a really big scare. "Would you even join us in the Biosynthing?"

Tarjal was quite in consideration for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders. "I see no harm in it and if you're going I might as well join you to make sure nothing happens."

Sihho snorted. "You doubt our magic skills?" he asked the Tavrayn. "We've adjusted quite well to the magic here, thank you."

"I do not doubt your skills here in Treval, young FireStorm, but at this Abstract Destiny, your connection to magic may be severed as I know..."

"Both of them have innate magic, too," Sitwi said, flying in lazy circles around them before Sihho scolded him should he cause too much attention. After restoring that a glowing ball of light (Wildfyre) would attract more attention, the orange subsided his routine and remained hovering. Tarjal's wings began to take him higher.

"Either way, let us go before we are seen by sentries and they think we're scouts or something. Off we go!"

Since coming to the Keep, both wolves and dragons had learned about the Planes of Travel and how to use them. This was a relief for the wolves who could not naturally teleport, even magically, and the dragons who found this form of travel easier. Following in Tarjal's wake made the trip simpler though losing the dragon through the mist was a bit easier said then done. Finally, Tarjal was landing in one of the Star City bays with the other four behind him. "Easy as it sounds!" the dragon grinned as he settled to his haunches and folded his wings. Piakii and Sihho, standing only a foot smaller then him, came up behind the dragon like frightened children at a new school. Wildfyre and Sitwi seemed fascinated with the going-ons and only when Sihho nipped his orange that they both realized there party was moving.

Tarjal did most of the talking and they eventually found there way to the Abstract Destiny which was a ship near the space station. Again, with Tarjal's help, they managed to get to the smaller ship.

"Can I help you?"

All four turned and jumped at the dark-colored dragon that seemed to have materialized behind them. Piakii yelped, Sihho simply jumped and the two dragons blinked, eying this resident warily. Tarjal bowed slightly. "Yes, these four..."

"Three," hissed Piakii.

"...three, would like to enter the Biosynthing procedure offered here."

The dragon with slight resemblance to one of the dragons residing at the School in Treval, nodded after a moment before leading them deeper into the space ship. Tarjal remained behind as he was slightly taller than the smaller dragons and wolves. He told them to wait outside a door before slipping in himself and disappearing for what seemed hours to the four. Thankfully, they were all small enough to fit inside the hallway without much trouble (the dragons keeping tails close to them to allow passer-bys to get through on there errands). At last the dark dragon appeared and told them they could come in. Sihho and Piakii were the only ones to enter as the two dragons found it much more fun to watch the people walking by.

Inside the room the two wolves found a blond-haired man bent over something. "Doctor, the visitors," the dark dragon said.

The man looked up-- then down-- at the two wolves who were still standing (as this wasn't their territory), and waiting. "Ah, yes! Thank you, Sahurru." The dragon left and Piakii stared after him.

"I see you met Sahurru, Head of Security on the Destiny. He's not as evil as you think! So you are interesting in the Biosynthing...may I ask..."

"He is, I'm not," Piakii said quickly, glancing at his friend. "My dragon wanted to so I'm here."

"Ah, good. You want to, too? And what are you?"

Sihho looked at him blankly for a moment then grinned. "A winged wolf. Nothing special. Sometimes called fralamar but that is mostly for Alskyrian wolves. My dragon is Genperna. Orange. His is from Lantessama and glows. I think Tarjal was interested, too."

"Tarjal?"

"A Tavrayn dragon from Amkal's border," Sihho supplied.

"Ah..." Dr. Schroeder said and began digging for some papers. He was muttering slightly and only the ears of the wolves managed to pick up the idea that he was suddenly a bit excited about something. Finally, he turned and placed some papers on the table. "Here you go. I suppose I'll have to fill them out for you since you apparently can't yourselves...Well, let's start with you, shall we?"

Eventually, they got through that process and after getting the information from Tarjal'Alkar the four followed the doctor. Although all four were a bit nervous, they managed to get the DNA samples and went to join a worried Piakii. Tarjal was still confused how eggs could result from such a process and since there was no female present. Wildfyre was unsure of what was happening, as well though only Sihho and Sitwi were eager to stick around even if they had to get there tails, whether furred or not, back to there packs in Treval. Tarjal lead them back home, awaiting not only for this clutch to hatch, but to there punishment (at least for Sihho and Piakii) for running off like they did in the middle of the night!
