Physical Appearance
Mutts are creatures as wide and varied in appearance as the word used to describe them implies. Their only common denominator is that they tend to be vaguely draconic in origin, though even that can be pushed to the limit with some of the body-type variants out, most notably the Canine-types such as the Aiji Kamui or Fu Dogs.
Some Mutts may closely resemble one of their ancestors, for example a Mutt who appears Pernese but has Myrsilkain head and tail crests. This is more common in first or second generation Mutts, but occassionally shows up in true mixed breeds.
Abilities
The abilities of any Mutt differs from the abilities of any other Mutt, sometimes even between Mutts born of the same clutch. Their abilities usually depend upon the abilites of their parents, and often they inherit a random selection of abilities, instead of the whole set.
Social
Mutts have no defined society or lifestyle. Instead, they usually adopt the society and lifestyle of whatever group they've joined.
Breeding, Clutching, and Bonding
Mutts are usually considered a wild-card, especially if their ancestry wasn't carefully kept track of. Because of this, unless one knows for certain that the Mutt's lineage contains one of the banned species (example: a Mutt with Xenodragon lineage cannot/will not breed with a Yautjadragon or Yautjadragon mutt), Mutts are usually capable of breeding with anything. Of course, this depends upon the acceptance of Mutts at the agency the flight is being hosted at.
With such varied ancestry, Mutts have no specific requirement to bond, unless one of their close ancestor-species required it. Even then, siblings in the same clutch may bond or not depending upon how they inhereted those traits.
Naming Styles
Mutts that have a close link to their ancestor's cultures may retain a naming system (or even many!) from those links. If this is the case, it's possible to see multiple naming systems used amongst siblings in the same clutch, alongside Mutts with no naming system applied.
Usually, though, the naming system used is the one used by the nearest ancestors available. For example, a Mutt with a Pernese parent and an Alevaharin grandparent would likely use the Pernese naming system, while one with a Pernese grandparent and an Alevaharin grandparent might use either, while ignoring the naming system of the Drak great-grandparent.
