Is there going to be an RP? That was my most favorite part EVAR. I'd definitely be willing to RP my leftover characters for this, too. 83 And... depending on how you're dealing with this, having the huge time gap between the first bondings and these new ones for the leftover novos would be fun to deal with!

Definitely time to bring the laptops to holidays... if there is internet, this would be a lot of fun to do!

I was planning on that being part of it, yep! :D

>:3 I was going to pretend the time gap away, but if you'd rather keep it, well, I am happy to oblige -- and excited to see how you incorporate it!

Has artdragon ever been down for this long in a row before? :\ Seems kind of like it's really bitten the dust, this time.

If you ever need a place to get your stuff up (temporarily or otherwise), JKat, I think my website has plenty of room... or it should. I miss your nifty website.

Loving all the info on the first post, BTW!

Yeah, I have a bad feeling about artdragon this time around. But even if it's not down for good, I'm getting the hell out of dodge anyways. It does this to me every. fricking. summer. That's what I get for free webhosting...

Aire, I may take you up on that. Though in the long run, I'm looking for some space that I can attach avengaea.com to, whiiich will probably mean purchasing some damn webspace. XD I actually don't know the first dang thing about attaching a domain name to a website, either, so that'll be fun to figure out.

Avengaea has gotten a face lift and a new domain name! This has been in the works for quite some time, in no small part because there is a metric tonne of NEW INFORMATION!! For those familiar with the old site and information, check out the Human section of the Creatures heading, some of the asandus sections for extras, and the entire World menu.

And there's more to come, about asandae, caetrae and Avengaea's geography, by the end of August. But for now... enjoy! And please, ask questions about whatever else you want to know, but can't find on the site!

And the links to the Nidus and to Sanctuary are both under 'Participation', for the interested, or right here:
http://www.avengaea.com/sanctuary/
http://www.avengaea.com/nidus/

All the information I had in the first post is over at Sanctuary, it was just copied and pasted from there.

I love Wistonat's jungle-frontiersy theme... that sounds like it could be pretty awesome!

The 'human nation' page definitely needs an Aven-map divided by human countries so that we can see how they're spread out. An Asandus-eye view looking over some part or other would be pretty neat, too!

The caste system in Isiodoth is interesting... they seem like they have a sort of Victorian era Britain thing going on for them. Curious to know if that was in mind while writing them! (Though also American what with being the southern cousins that are more patriotic and have northern neighbors who are more polite and don't reject aid from a higher power... X3)

For some reason I keep missing that there are links back along that second-most top bar there.

I'm loving all of the visual accessories to the information, by the way. The daemon section is looking really spruced up in terms of pictures, though it seems to be lacking in information... I hope that you will eventually have sections for the Daemon Isles, for example, or maybe a list of common Daemon types. While I know that their mimicry makes them almost impossible to completely categorize, I'd imagine that they have a few types that are ubiquitous simply because they're so handy, or else that type was made famous and has become a fad for some families to try to mimic!

I think that, once you graduate and we both have jobs, it would be pretty cool to commission some other professional artists for more images. The site is already looking amazing and I love the gallery, but it's kind of only whet my appetite for more. XD

As for the old-school bonding, I'll have to re-page Dracothrope and Orlinton! I don't even know if I want a bond for Drac' anymore (she has two now, which seems pretty good to me!) but Orlinton was always a sort of goofy character, so I'll have to find his page and write more for him. :)

That site is just BEYOND GORGEOUS!

May I also know what font you used for this? It's beautiful!

Saeri, just let me check... "OptimusPrinceps SemiBold", it looks like. I don't remember if that came with my computer or I downloaded it, but you can probably find it online somewhere!

Aww, thanks, Yakima. :3 It is more or less what I'm going to school for. Actually most of what's up on the site in terms of illustrations was made for one assignment or another in school.

Dray... well, maps are pending. >:D I had to bring in a higher power on that one, but once the maps are there, they should be glorious!

Isiodith, I think I was kind of merging some stuff I had read up on the Indian caste system, and your generic cheezy medieval fantasy themed European thingy. I like Victorian era better, though... I'll try to use more of that. Heck, merged with the stuff from India, I could get some really interesting combos.

The daemon section is low-ish on my list of things to update at the moment -- the asandus information and the caetran information are old and need a re-write for grammatical ideas, and to add in some nuances they've picked up in the meantime. But maybe I'll bump daemons up the queue a bit. :)

Writing more for Orlinton.... aaalways welcome. >:D And commissioning other artists would be cool, too! Aw man, I'd be a bit embarrassed to recruit my classmates. I keep worryin' that all this is too cheesy and all.

Ah, well, I can't draw humans. Well I can, but they never look right to me nor can I color them on the computer to my liking. Perhaps someday I'll be able to play with that or something....*blinks* :P

The best thing that you could ever do for practicing drawing humans, Yakima, would be to see if there are any live figure drawing classes around where you live. :D It will do your human-drawing skills wonders if you stick to it.

I would love to, but money is very tight. I've drawn a few of my characters only to not be able to get them to look just as nice on the computer. I would love a tablet and Photoshop, which seems to have cooler tools, but I have no tablet and lost Photoshop. :P If all else fails, there is the internet with pictures of humans in good poses. I know I had one site that had good referance images of poses and propes so...just need to stop drawing dragons. *smirk*

Anyway...I am at the point where I need some help with Asher's story.

If I give you the end bit where Asher is in Avengea (the Sanctuary specifically) can you tell me if anything is 'wrong'? I tried to be vague because I am so unfamiliar with details but, yeah...I think the ending is a bit lame because of it. heh...

Otherwise I can finalize/edit it and send it to you to have you 'correct' it later. :P

OMG, I knew I had a character with you that never bonded but I had totally forgotten her name...not her info, but her name! XD I looked it up on your site, though, so I'm good! If I have time/inspiration I will /so/ write up one or two more for you if you're going to be doing an old fashioned RP-type bonding deal! :D I just hope I can fit it into my busy schedule! :P

I think you mentioned that there won't be a time skip in the bondings... but if that's not the case, is there an IC motive for there not being bondings in a couple of years?

I was toying with there being some political issue that stopped the bondings for a while... concerned parents, for example, hearing about abandoned asandae who lost their childhoods because of it (there've been a couple). Like, that would probably result in some kids being pulled out of the bonding pool, and the others (who are probably treating the bonding complex as a kind of free boarding school, ha ha) told to hold off bonding until the issues had been laid to rest. Thoughts?

I have completely lost track of the Avengaea timeline. Where would these bondings be in relation to the very first RPed bondings?

Lanithro's story overlaps with that of characters from back then and as such... may be extremely out of sync with the "official" Aven timeline. XD There's nothing to be done if that's the case, but I'm curious as to how skewed things have gotten.

Nexus time, gotta love it!

Oh my! If I ever decided how much time passed between RP'd bonding ceremonies, I've since forgotten, so you can fudge that as necessary, but as for the current gap... Let's say it's been a little less than four years since the last big bonding ceremony. Two years of single bondings, and then a year and a half of suspended bonding. If Lanithro's out of synch with that... well, so be it. XD Everyone will quietly not notice.

Haha, yeah, he's out of sync. He appears in the Caco/Akija story and by their timeline, eight years have passed since they bonded and their own dragons are nearly full grown. Which puts him four years in advance of your statement! Shhhhhh, nobody notice!

Lan, you are hereby a Time Lord. XD

Aw, we can tack another couple years on there easy! XD Caco and Aki bonded in the fourth ceremony, correct? And there were six of them. We can muddle some more years onto that!

Well you really don't need to muddle the timestream just for my sake, though I appreciate the thought. X3 Nexus time is always weird and I was more just curious than anything! My temporal realities won't collapse if things don't match up exactly. ;)

Would Mercure and Featau count as one of those "single bondings"? They (or Tenaso) may be making a small appearance in my character's story, but I'm not sure how much time will have passed >.>

Yep, they'd be in the single bondings category! :) So I guess anywhere from two to four years previous to the upcoming bonding. Of course, with Nexus time, that could be as long as you want it to be...

:P Got mine in, now I wait. I don't have any Asandus (except for my water one from the giveaway and a few mutt/partbreds). mwaahaaha! yes, I'm excited. I have a right, I thinks. :P I just hope Asher isn't too dramatic... >.<
