Yup - I came in just as places like Jerdan were closing (being taken over), I got the Glass Island (well, one of them) sets, and never did get a REAL Glass Island dragon. I got one or two of the old old dejuneauxxxx.... did I spell that even remotely close? But that was during the transition between old and new images too.

... heh see, I just never *left* dragoning, after starting up. :) I probably have the widest range collection of weyrs and dragonries, but I probably don't have the *oldest* of the collections.

I can confirm Midori being one of the old schoolers. I'm pretty sure Wu Weyr was well-established when I was first writing candidates, and I like to consider myself a semi-oldbie too. I remember when Jerdan, Gallimim, and Mooncrest were adopting dragons out, darn it! ^_^

That, and given some of the dragons in her winglist, I think she even pre-dates our beloved geezer Shard. That's a /lot/ of Glass Island dragons.

o.o

*hails Midori as a great dragoning elder*
Lol. I started when I was like 11. I acttuly still have my first dragon Ulleseth from Jerdan's 4th clutch, dragons from the first clutch at Gallimim. I have every color from Glass Island which is hard to do since the last clutch was layed by my gold I think. I had like mass amounts of dragons from Savat until geocities killed my skystar_mlp account I have like three greens, a blue and a bronze I lost I think. But I can't remember who their riders where. I'm lucky and thankful that Drakiera was more then glad to replace Lei & Rhea's gold & brown images!

I feel kind of funny since I've lost so many people I use to know Shard's really one of the few who's still here from the older days. Everyone else has spilt saddly.

I started when I was 12 ... ish, but my problem was that until 2003 or so every time I quit dragoning I would stupidly lose all my files and have to start from scratch. And I do quit and come back a lot :twisted: The earliest dragons I remember adopting were from Azerith (Taziath's) Weyr, which was presumably owned by someone with a gold dragon named Azerith who later left and was replaced by someone with a gold dragon named Taziath. My first ever dragon was an extremely bad wyer example bad candidate there who Impressed a green, named Paliath. My second dragon was an orange non-pernese dragon named Jessilyn from Dragonskies Adoptions. This was around the same time as Silvanon's Adoptions when she was still doing Pernese (about a year later my then-avatar Zialana bonded a green, Adeometh, from there), as well as DF's original Pern Weyr. I didn't REALLY get into dragon adopting though until about a year after my bad persona bonded Paliath, during the era of the DACC forums and the weyr owned by Skysong (Dragonsclan, I think it was called?).

Those were good times.

I was 12 when I started too. My first dragons came from Glass Island, and I was /devastated/ when they closed down. I had named the next gold (I still remember her name: Kerioth) and had written this monstrous story in hopes of Impressing her. Heh... good times. ^_^;

After that, I've acquired dragons from all sorts of fun places. Seascape, Mooncrest, Jerdan, Talor Cliff... I still sort of wish I'd sent out a candidate to every Weyr active in my time. I would've had some darned obscure dragons in my ranks.

I'm not sure what to really say about my past 7 or 8 years. I've never left, as I'm sure some of you are probably painfully aware. ^^ But I've gone through years of not writing or really contributing to the community, so I guess I'm the most active lurker in the history of the Protectorate. *shrugs*

I started, apparently, around February of 2000, though I think I was snagging click and takes before then. I have emails from the Seascape weyrwoman from March about the pages she couldn't view because her dad slapped in an adult material warning lol.

XD Freakin' Terea and my other first from Moonstuck - Tharathien - went and had Aunt-Cest Behbies (well, more like niece-aunt cest, minus the actual cest part, on behalf of their riders) at Cy where one of their sons immediately went and got someone preggers and since then things have just gone wack-tackular. >=D I'm still proud my little star-loving feline-shifter bonded at Star City, which was such a perfect place for her to chillax. XD Terea's so wonderfully afrearede, 'cept when she's horny. XD :: luvins ::

Which reminds me of how much fun I had playing on Shard's corner of the Drak-world. XD Man, I just want to /interact/ with people's characters! ;__; I am such a dork.

There is now a page... I was sick all weekend, plus most of last week, so if it's late and crappy, well... that's why.

http://www.geocities.com/kates_pages/DVF06/index.htm

As it says at the bottom of the audition page, auditions close Wednesday, so hurry up and send me what you've got! :) Still don't have any pairs, and I might just drop that section if I don't get at least one...

^_^ I found that she is, Shard, it's a round-about way to find it, but if you hop links you'll eventually find an auditioner's list, and there's a bunch of dragons up already (I just noticed a couple of mine a couple of days ago, I didn't check to see if everybody's is on there.) You shouldn't have to send 'em in again.

Yep, everyone's who's posted theirs in this thread already are up. (Eh... i sense a syntax error...)

Hey, Fuzzy--awesome pink dragon, but did you want her in as a single or can I include her mate and put 'em as a mated pair? Just asking, since they're on the same page and I'm a bit short on pairs. :)

Umm... *checks* It's pretty much even. I have more 'interesting' males than 'interesting' females, so a female might be nice. I also have a need for very small males--I can't even consider using the peepdragon females unless there's a male somewhere near their size--so if you've got a suitably colored Schattarmini, that would be great, too. :)

Er, I have a smallish male, but I'm not sure if he's v-day-ish enough to enter. ^.^;;

http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... i/reif.htm

He -does- have red, but it's more of a flamey-red.. but he -is- small (4ft at the shoulder). *tentative* There are two more like him, but only one approaches the prerequisite colors, and that's only 'cause there's a little bit of purple on his wings. (http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... /aemei.htm) XD *shrug* Let me know if I should enter either of 'em..

Both Reif and Aemei would be excellent--don't know if I'd use either, but they're both definitely under consideration.

---

All right, TIME'S UP.

Since I'm still short on mated pairs, those can still be sent in--on a first come, first served basis. I still need three (Lakota's promised a pair, and I have Fuzzy's pair already).

Lakota, you can still send in the single--I'm counting your earlier post as 'entering' it.
