Any Active Dragon/Cyberpet communities?

Post by iprince »

First off... hullo again! c: I do have an older account on here, but I can't for the life of me remember my old username (I've gone my Memoru and Bughnrahk, and various dragon-this-or-that thingies in the past). I used to send candidates mainly to Abstract Destiny and Twisted Fate, but I poodled about in other places as well.

I've been really missing all the old cyberpetting communities, and I've had a couple of ideas (one for a write-to-adopt dragon-thing) that I'd really like to do. It looks like even gaia online's adoptable community is on its way out.

I thought your art looked familiar on DA. I believe based on previous comments made on this forum that baka-ryu used to be your name here.

I don't actually know any truly active communities, though I guess the DA adoptables stuff is the closest I'm aware of? It's pretty hard to get lots of people interested though. If you want to rp a bit, you could head over to Birdie's Nest. Though it's just hatching rps at the moment, and slow, but she and I have been planning on having some non-hatching rps available for people to jump in on if they want.

Yes! That would be me! c: Thanks much for tracking that down. (old embarrassing usernames, dear me.)

I've been looking at the closed species adoptable community on dA, and it's certainly tagged my interest. It just doesn't seem like any of the characters are really... interactive? Appears to mostly be a collection-based thingy.
Which is fine, and I'm interested, it's just not my prefered style of adoptable.

I will definitely check out Birdie's Nest! I love RP-hatching. Thanks much for the link drop.

Some of them are and some of them aren't. I think some of them are based around rps and writing? But I'm not really part of it, so I don't know for sure.

Yeah some DA stuff is rather insular for their rp groups, and others are basically drama. >_>

Myself I've just loaded my black mesa characters up on my unbonded and those not given away here, though I've also been looking at maybe doing clutches of some kind. I really do love writing for dragons, though I won't hesitate to pick up a giveaway or a point dragon if I can grab it, because, hoarder.

I'd love to do clutches myself. ; 3; I really enjoyed adopting out species/characters/etc (I ran a few cyberpet adoptables back when, nothing on the nexus, though).

Is your Glenn dragon branch still going, Shard?

moar... MOAR.

Is your Glenn dragon branch still going, Shard?

It can be, if there is interest. It's still on Planet 20 though I have not fully gone through my new host version of the website. I decided I'd try and clean it up a bit when I moved hosts and haven't fully found all the broken parts yet. Pretty sure I uploaded planet 20 but I'll make sure at some point soon.

And yeah I should run that Dragonhope one. Though at this point there are SO many whose links will be invalid I'm not really sure what to do with those.

I am 120% interested in Glenn dragons! c: I just talked to Indy about reactivating my bishel dragons, and I would loooooove to get back into Glenns. I'd quite happily start a story for the current glenn clutch, if you're cool with that.

Aaaaaaand I'm going to start up on my dragon-species info, then. c: Clutches are fun.
