I just rediscovered the Nexus and thought I'd say hi if there's anyone still out there... Would so love a reason to do some writing (and drawing) if reasons exist (and I had time). How's everyone doing?

Also, Airy, weren't we tossing about the idea of an RP months ago? =P I'm still totally game for it.

I'm doing pretty good! Not getting much sleep but that's motherhood for you...

RP sounds good...did you two have something planned that others could join? I'm currently thinking of joining an online RP run by Caco but I'm so rusty I'm scared to try...but something casual could be fun!

I have plenty of time to run, but only have Nyracii as a fleshed out world.

How about we consider what characters we'd like to play, then work out a setting from there?

Of my Nexus characters.. hm. I've gained a vast appreciation for Selverat (not up), Kerkael (not up), Nekeel, and Sessil through my NaNo writing, though a bit of Sessil and Nekeel's pages are... based on misinformation. Either way, still fairly accurate, I think. On the smaller side of things, my two Renos -- Reno and Rieno -- are always fun. Or for a smallish merc company the Devyrs or a subset of them could work. Or Cetirnen and his people who are ICly involved in looking outside of their own world.

Of my Nexus chars, I think those are the ones I could use most easily.

For non-Nexus related things, with a potential to get INVOLVED in the Nexus, there's my EVE characters Karjan and Lajira Amahel, who I've already been partially plotting to drag into the Nexus if a cool clutch that I really, really like ever comes around again. (EVE Online player characters, if you aren't aware, are basically immortal while in their capsule, which allows them to pilot huge spaceships with their miiiiinnd. It always amused me, the idea of mixing such a science heavy background with... well... creatures of myth and legend and maaaaagic~). Uuhh... That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

I wouldn't mind running something either, although, if there is just three or four of us, we might not need anyone to run. We could potentially just start our characters off in some setting with some interesting situation.

Ordivak is a somewhat interesting location that we could utilize from my worlds, although, you guys know me, I love exploring other people's worlds too. So, I will enjoy pretty much anything.

There is that. And oooh, Ordivak opens a completely plausible reason for Karjan and Lajira to get involved in the beginning. It's like you wrote that tail end of that writeup just for meeee~~ *amused grin*

EVE is awesome and dark and godDAMN I hate other players something fierce sometimes. BUT! If you get involved in EVE this summer, shoot a message at the character Lajira Amahel, she's my high sec char that I mine and hack with. We can fly together sometime.

I'm so out of touch with RPing that I don't even know what characters I'd want to use...would havs to pick some based on where we settled on. But I'm up for whatever everyone else wants to do...

EVE is an MMO that is lovingly referred to by it's players as "Internet spaceships", "internet spreadsheets", or "that place where no one trusts anyone". The mythos is pretty grimdark, honestly. The Chronicles is most of the official fiction. A lot of it is really, really cool, but The Jovian Wetgrave really encapsulates (*titter*) what a Capsuleer is, even if this Capsuleer is technically a failed one.

In practice, EVE is a giant free-for-all, where we can act without much fear of reprisal from authority. Sure, in highsec (High Security Space, where new players start, space controlled by NPC Empires) the NPC police force Concord quickly appears to blow you to smithereens if you do something bad, but as soon as you get below like .8 (Security status goes from 1.0 to -1.0, with 1.0 being most secure) Concord doesn't show up quickly enough to do much in most cases. There are politics, spies, pirates, miners, explorers, hackers... Fun game, but you really need to have support in order to be successful outside of highsec.

I'm good with whenever, being that I don't have a job or classes to deal with. Also, how do we want to handle this, as a forum RP here or attempt to find meeting times that work for all three of us and use either the old nexus chat on Xalia's site or the envolve chat here? Or a mix of the two -- y'know, have a forum thread that we can post to as we go, then have times when we can meet up to do live RP, then post the result of that back to the thread and continue.

Much as I love live role play it might be difficult for me to manage...I could find times when I'd be home and (hopefully) idle but there's no guarantee I'd stay that way! Babies are very demanding creatures...

So probably forum based would be best...
