Hey guys. I know it's been ages since I last stopped by. I just wanted to let you know that I still think about you guys a lot. I've just been busy with other things... like writing a novel. Or rather a series of novels. I've decided to finally go after the dream we all share. I have my first novel written and I'm hard into editing. The second book in the series is started.

If you guys want to get a peek at what I'm doing (because a little part of me is always screaming for validation), then you can find me over at Scribophile: http://www.scribophile.com/dashboard/. It's a site specifically designed to help up and coming novelists edit their work and offer critiques on other works. I'm running my novel through the site chapter by chapter.

I'm glad to see the Nexus is still up and running. Someday I'll have to try to be more active again. For now, I'll just stick to lurking. :) Miss you guys tons.

AUGH!!!!

Yes, still here, amazingly! Wonder if I should start slapping things up on that site there, though frankly the only thing I'm actually WORKING on is my lengthy fanfic that I can't really 'sell' so much as 'sell myself' with. Do they care about what the subject matter is, ie: no fanfic, or what?

MYSTIC!

What is funny is that Sil cam back and was asking about you in chat...then *poof* you're here...

Kinda...creepy...but a good creepy. lol

I'm still here. I'm stuck in a web designing spree at the moment but here with plots for my sites. Also...I'm joining that site. I started my own trilogy (again). My motivation died when I got wrapped up in school finals and my laptop died but yeah...I was on a roll! (like, up to 80k words roll!) :D

Hey chica. :D Good to see you around. I've dropped in mostly for "art candy" - something fun/goofy to mess with amid projects.

Us dragonseses are psychic, don't'cha know. :D

Also, I saw that Ari had posted a draca on DA and I had to swing by to say hi. Cause I miss you guys. I just can't find time for anything other than story editing or work these days.

Shard: Some people don't like fan fic, but pooh on them. It's perfectly allowed by the site rules. If nothing else, you can use the site to help you improve your writing. I've already found a ton of little issues that I missed in my first read through of my novel. They're very good for helping you spot the recurring problems.

Since I've been writing Repurposed for almost 2 years now, I have gone back over my first chapters but not re-uploaded them to DA since their edits. lol! It's a never ending process, but I try to avoid going too far back because then it'll just be frustrating. I am *not* re-writing 400+ pages ...which is why I have hesitated to do much with Body Dancing where Sanger is from, and Dawnlight Chronicles where Shard hails - because both of those are massive stories and are 'good enough' as they were when I last touched them.

I've gotten into the mindset of never being finished my edits. :P Nothing is ever good enough! It can always be improved. Though that may just be a product of the site. It's been helping to keep me on track when I really don't want to edit anymore. Going through 400 pages is a hell of a lot of work, even if you're not rewriting all of it.

Well, thankfully for Repurposed I have at least one person who will compulsively send me edits - it was pretty funny though, because in the first hundred or so pages? She found a total of FOUR spelling/wrong word issues and maybe two places where I could use a different word entirely.

heheh.

That's pretty awesome. :) I thought my prologue for my novel was pretty well polished, but I posted it to Scrib and I've gotten a ton of feedback on how to really make it pop. I'm loving the critiques, even if it is a bit of a blow to get less than glowing reviews every time. I think it's helping me grow as a writer.

I'm tossing JKat the link to this. I think she'll have a use for it. Thanks!
