Winter Gather 2012-2013 Season - Form for GETTING

Hey all!


I know it's been busy for most of us, and some folks have barely had time to stop in and check for new messages (and there have BEEN new ones yay!!) but now is the time, here is the place!

The Winter Gather is heading your way!

For those who want a refresher, there are a multitude of Winter Gather threads from past years - here and I think in the Archive section!

Generally it's nice to get around 5-8 'full sized' dragons, and if you're going to make pet-sized ones available a good number of those. I don't think Myrror is around to participate (though I've got her on facebook, should badger there hahah) (if you're reading this Myrror we miss you and love you ) so that's about ... 200 pets that might not show up. So it's nice to have a good bunch of little and big to put into the hat.

I will randomly assign dragons (both pet sized and full sized) once everyone has theirs sent to me and I know about how many people want. Generally I print out a sheet with all the images and cross them off as I go, using dice to assign them.

Dragons should be Winter themed. They do not have to be specific to any given religion or locale, but if you have them (like I've done Kwanzaa and have a theme this year for something new) that's cool too.

-- Gender or choice of genders
-- Lineage if any (please link, make it easy for us to track)
-- Size if known
-- Color or rank if any
-- Powers if any
-- Limitations if any, including for breeding (ie: fire types only, no evil, etc)
-- Any other info/history

Also please include:
** How many dragons you would like (1, 1 big and some pet-sized, any, etc)
** Do you want to get your own dragons if they randomly come up? (I will ONLY distribute to yourself if you specifically say you want them, otherwise I'll spread the goodness around a bit)
** If there are any types you do NOT want (like, you're collecting in a theme - if there are thematic ones I'll send those your way if possible)

Yaaaaay! *pulls out her sketchbook and starts sketching* Any idea when the deadline for this will be?

Probably not until late January or mid-February. I'd like to give folks some time to do things. Plus, I'll have the Red and Green hatched by mid-January as it's going (at the latest) so that might help prod some ideas or get some bond-worthy dragons out there waiting for their snowy friends.

I doubt I could participate..I'd have to re-reinstall Photoshop (which was a PAIN last time to figure out, being 5.5 and all), I've pretty much lost all my flters, and then find out just what I did with my printer/scanner driver disk... >.>;;

That and I've not really drawn much at all in a long time...

Yeah, that's a bummer, Myrror!

What about any lineart you've got sitting around? lol Maybe in the spirit of OMG MYRROR CRITTER AVALANCHE we could color your gorgeous lines? Just a thought. Also never forget: you don't HAVE to donate to get a couple things here and there!

About the only thing I could donate would be firelizards since that's the only lineart I actually have. Would that be okay?

lol Yes stop hiding, yes that's a sister-in-law, and YES more art.

Ohshush =P I never know the proper terms for anyone I'm related to beyond my parents and grandparents.... Ppprrrooobaby cause I have a grand total of... two aunts and one uncle. And, like... yeah. That's about the extent of the extended family that I interact with. Actually, for all I interact with them, I only have one aunt. c.c;; ANYWAY. /OFFTOPIC.

I have some "older" art sitting in my sketchpad that I might use. It's not really winter themed, but it's pretty! That counts, right?

You can always color it appropriately and call it winter.

Considering one is based off of this monster from Shin Megami Tensai Nocturne.... not sure any amount of coloring will make it properly wintery =P The other is a mix of one of the Fu Dogs Nessie drew and the Aiji Kamui that I drew, so I could probably get away with that one.

Hahah honestly I'm kind of curious as to what that first one might wind up doing, given what I'm doing for this year's... >_> irony incarnate, since it's themed and specific, but also bred from the crow-demon dragons I have...

Well, it's based off a demon that's known to bring death and mayhem wherever it goes, so, err...

Also, the Zhen-dragons are TOTALLY NOT OUT TO KILL YOU.

I may be able to do something, but I'm not sure. :\ Will keep you posted if I manage anything - my scanner works but I'm not sure regarding my tablet, and I'll have to reinstall Photoshop at minimum. But I do want to prove I'm alive, dangit!
