Of the three displayed, I like the blue one best. Perhaps try a graphite-to-white with blues?

How about these two? Personally I like the use of basic light background, and more bright or visible colored accents, without clashing colors.

Most Menu links should be working to a page of some sort. Not all. I've been working on this all day and wanna go explore Middle-earth on my Hobbit...or try to level one of my other hobbits. *pokes her Burglar* I hate this level range... (and yes, my hobbit hijacked my avatar. )

Alrighty, here's yet another update.

One, I'm going to go back and make a list of pages and updates when and what I do for you all to see. Feedback is much appreciated.
Two, I'm going to start going through the pages and putting user input (stuff that members supply for the databases) in red or something so you know what you're going to be responsible for. Images will have a red border if you insert them.

When people have time, start shifting through the profiles, especially, and tell me what works for you (in terms on finding information) and what doesn't.

• Layout: Need to finish footer and logo(s)

• Home Page: need an intro; do we want an update section for overall site updates/upgrades, ect?

• User Profile: is this set up ok. What kind of information do you want displayed?

• Archive Database: list page is started, need to design/decide on search function look and add what the "show more dragons" will look like.

• Agency Database: what information do we want in the search list?

Hey! I've been meaning to respond to this for a while but my tabs crashed and I'd forgotten about it! I do love how gung-ho you are about creating this website, Yakima! I'll reply to what I can now, then come back to it next free moment: I'm splitting my time up a bit.

The home page should be out of character, I think. A couple of paragraphs? Do you want us to help create the content that goes on all of these pages, like, writing it up? :3 We could post bits up for others to edit or critique!

Oooh, we get a user control panel?

For User Profile: Links to active websites (adoption agencies or character indexes) links to art galleries or writing areas. 'About'? 'Favourites'? 'Years spent at the Nexus'? (XD)

Archive database: how will you run this for non-pernese dragons? 'Name, colour, origin' sound like the best generic fields to use. Things like by clutch could be a sub-category, maybe not as immediately important as those first three. could be the 'show more dragons' section for clutch-matching or species-matching or something?

Agency Database: Searchable by 'name, genre, active clutches'? On the page itself: Link to site, blurb about the agency, where it's located ('Nexus Original World' -> reachable by magic/science', 'Alskyr', 'Pern -> Alternate/Traditional'?)\

Hehee. np. I'm distracted playing in photoshop with my tablet...tormenting my Falas firelizard template atm...so I have something to do other than pulverize Saruman in LotRO...for an old guy, he's a pain to beat.

Okay, back in school so in a few weeks im hoping to start getting this going and by the end of the quatet, (late september) I wanna launch it.

Who is still willing to help (other than Starfyre ) because I feel like there is more that needs to be decided.

Keep in mind, we can start off simple and work upward from there, I'm sure.

My web class is using this site right now; I have to recreate these to the letter for my project but if any of you see a layout design that you like for this please let me know. Of course I'll tweak to our needs but it's an option. Speak now; this project will be launching soon.

It looks very professional! It makes me wonder though, whether the image should be more or less the whole page, rather than just a top bar with something underneath. It looks clean this way, I'm not saying I don't like it, it just makes me want to see more dragon.

Yeah...i just don't want it to get in the way of text... And i made it bigger than i wanted because i just grabbed the image off the slider image template so I had to make it bigger...i just wanted to stick something there

Alright, folks, bad and good news...

First bad...I wasn't able to get to the Nexus for class. The teacher kept having us do other things so we never got to it. I dunno...annoying. We're on the final week so it's just not gonna happen as a project for school.

But.....

Star and I are still going to do it. Im working on the new layout now: http://magecircle.com/nexus/ is the beginnings of it (i've tweaked it in terms of columns showing up when/where they're suppose to no matter the screen size...don't worry if it looks wrong...)

I am working on table pages for the databases and the profiles. We're going to start off simple at first then start adding more features for people to use as time goes on. All that fancy stuff will be up to Starfyre. I just have to design it.

So please, if you're still poking around here, please lemme know what you think, what you would like to see added, removed, tweaked, ect.
