Part One: Old and New Cascatan

One Old Cascatan, three New. Literally and figuratively =P

For the record, if you can see everything going on in that sketchy-sketch of mine, congrats =P I'm not sure I can say the same anymore.

EDIT: I'm apparently in a sketching mood today.

Part 2: Askan

I think I can decipher that first one... aww, man, StarFyre, you are like the queen of taunting. XD I'm going to do some stuff on the Aven bonding tonight... see how much I can finish. I have a thing due Tuesday, so with the Aven bonding, this weekend'll be busy busy!

I tolja I'd be drawing an image of every Asandae, and I meant it =P Hell, might do some Caetrae for lulz and amusement.

I am not, however, looking forward to the Piralan *snerks* Fuzzy. Why do they have to be fuzzy. *exaggerated 'shoot me now' gesture*

Aaah, they are adorable! XD The niteshan has a beautiful flow to 'im. I can just see him (or her!) bounding about like a... a mink or something. That kind of flowy bouncing. :D

As for piralan babies, well, when in doubt, they're basically balls of fuzz! :D And they are so just to challenge you and make you weep. >:D

Now, just to show I'm doing my damndest to uphold my side of the deal... I'm about 1300 words in and just finishing the intro. Augh!

Oh so very slowly... my hand hurts for some reason -.-;; Dunno if it's cause there's fiddly bits, or I'm just clenching the pen too tightly again, but I've been having to do things slowly. Gah.

It's a lot of curves -- a LOT of curves. No wonder your hand hurts, lol!

I'm sure that it's going to wind up being gorgeous, though. :3 Just take some breaks to stretch the hands!

<.< On another note... lesson learned for tonight: I draw long-whippy-tails. JKat does not. Cascatan tails do not work when long and whippy. That is all.

Heheheh. She's an underwater plaything, that's for sure! I am happy with how it cleaned up, even if it took forever to get decent.

I think I'll outline the Niteshan and Piralan image next, for sheer cuteness factor.

Also, why do you species seem to exist to kill my hand? Between fuzz and blobs, my right hand is dead =P Also, also, that tail took me two days to fluffify. Eeeevviiil.

I just love too many details, is all. :D Speaking of details, you did a WOW job on the niteshan gems! They look so beautifully smooth! The fuzzy is awesome too. Fuzzy takes so much practice to do quickly. :o

You (and hopefully others) will be happy to know that the Aven bonding is on the top of my list of things to get done over break!

yeah, I didn't realize that all the jelly-blobs were meant to be in an orderly fashion until after i inked mine. >.<

That leaf texture was some brush in photoshop from one of the Nagel sets that I downloaded a long time ago... I can't even remember which brush I used, off hand, since I usually operate on the theory of "this? .. nah. *erase* this? .. nah.. *erase* this? .. sure *move on*"

Pretty much every bit of color in that image was done using various Nagel series brushes - the grass, the sky, the tree, the fur, the ball... everything except the base colors.

Dray, lol, like I need more characters to fool around with =P They are cute, though, I will admit that ^^

Speaking of characters... *cute puppy-dog eyes at Jkat* sooo? how's the bonding coming?

Oh nice! Star, you have a way with that blue color. This is gorgeous, and so much fun. :D

As for backgrounds, well, what do you like to look at underwater? There is some cool shit under the sea, and if you work from a reference picture, you can get wicked cool stuff.
