I passed stats! Anyone up for dragons? =P

Seriously. I found out today that either my stats teacher is as bad at stats as I am, or he graded on such a curve that I swear my fingers hurt from clinging so hard. There's no logical way I could have gotten a C with the way I think I did on the final, and the way I _know_ I did on the rest of the tests.

But! This means I don't have to take a summer class, or a fall class, of stats and my chances of actually getting that silly piece of paper in the mail in a few weeks just went up astronomically. I'm not too disturbed by the other classes, but something odd could always wriggle out of the woodwork... but for now, I passed stats! Woot!

As for my grades - I was continually doing 30-35/50 on the tests, got an 18/50 on the 4th one, and missed the fifth from health reasons (teacher put a grade in that hole that was the average of the last four tests, so at least it wasn't a zero) and then couldn't actually fully answer over 40 points worth on the final exam. And he was grading on the 90-80-70-60 scale. So, uh, best I could have done was a D, by the math. But I got a C. Now, there's a RANGE of C's, and no way to tell if I got 70.000 (an exact, perfect, low-range C), but still...

Vaguely being the operative word it seems, as I remembered more feathers and filigree on his outfit, but I digress. Would a reminiscent color scheme be an okay request, or are you looking for more general color/elemental requests?

I went out to eat at Lone Star yesterday, with my fiance. Totally indulged in fish instead of steak (fiance isn't a big fish fan, so I only get fish on rare occasion =P )

And sure, the Kiion really don't have much of any restrictions on them (outside of sanity, but sanity is _always_ optional =P ). If you show me the pic, I'll do my best to copy it over.

Congrads on passing the Stats... that is the one area of maths I didn't have a problem with (seriously, my statistics grades pulled my others right up... they were A-Bs, compared to Ds and below for the rest).

Anyways, I love that there are more Kiion's floating around... I love my Yantii lots, and it's great to see more of them around =) (And yes, I do plan to return to doing more with him soon =)

Anyways, I'd love a pair of flitters (one of each?), completely open in colour thoughts... =) and I totally wouldn't say no if another Kiion wanted to come help Yantii cause confusion on the ship...

Heh, you're in a similar boat as myself. Though I always feel a bit odd when my husband has a huge steak or ribs and I have a dainty little fish and vegetable plate.

As for the Kiion, this is Lu Xun from Dynasty Warriors 6:

A red base, gold filigree, and feathers that transition from a red to gold to ivory gradient could work. I have better screenshots of both the tattoo under his eye and the feathers in his hair if you wish to add those details. I leave artistic license to you as well. =)

Also, if you have the time and creative streak for a custom pose or suchlike, I'd be more than happy to pay for a commission. I always thought the basic render was blurry on the finer details, so if you want better reference images, I have tons. Just didn't want to flood the post with 'em.

Also, will you be hosting another Myrsilkain clutch at some point? I fell in love with those dragons a while ago and I'd be ecstatic to see them back.

Note: Because this one is made out of aluminum instead of a heavier metal, it gets warmer to the touch (though there's some magic involved to keep it cool enough to touch) and is also much lighter weight than others previously made -- though it still acts like it's made out of heavier metals. This means that it sometimes miscalculates jumps (jumping further than it thought it would), doesn't realize how quickly it can run, and otherwise gets into trouble.

They really upgraded the looks for DW6.. wish that was worth the annoyance of losing about 50% of the amusing story-lines and individuals from the previous installments. I think I'll stick with the Orochi games from now on, at least those storylines are fresh =P

As for a custom pose - what sort of image were you thinking of? I'm up for doing things like that, it just might take me a bit to finish (since I think, after this week, I'll be heading back north to my parent's house to play mechanic).

And yes, there will be more Myrsilkain clutches. I guess the question is, do I need to host another generic, or would people like to send their babies in for a real flight/clutch/etc?

Will admit I was thinking jade was more of greenish-yellow but I love that color, too. And is there any little tidbits of info for the flits? (though I may stick them on the Oddessy together...heh)

Well, some jade is a green-yellow, while others are more pale-green/blue-y, others are a deep dark green, some has brown tints, and some is milky white. Really, it depends on what piece of stone you pick up at any given time.

Here's some general information from another thread of mine about the steampunk flits:

I bring you, steampunk flitters! While not technically sentient, these little flitters are staunchly loyal to their owners (in good steampunk-creation manner, which means some may start exhibiting strange quirks very quickly), and have high self-preservation instincts... meaning that they can often be seen stealing coals (or similar sources of heat) and drinking water in order to keep themselves moving.

Those wings are only for show - these flits can't fly. They do have an incredible leaping ability, though, and when they get moving, they can really haul. What they can't leap, they can often climb, and they're masters at getting to their owner, though hell or high water.

Beware the steam coming out of those nostrils! (The main pressure let-off is actually at the tips of the wing-struts, but the nostrils are a pressure let-off as well.)

There are two main metals used in some combination in the making of these little guys - brass and steel. At the moment, I haven't decided which of my characters have actually built these flits (though Mularaja might have). So they'd be found in and around Clan Akelara - most would be deactivated and just waiting in rows in a room off the common area. To activate them, the water container (in their abdomen area, filled by pouring water down their muzzels, hee) must be filled and the fire in their chest must be kindled. Usually, they accept as their master the first person they see upon activating for the first time... some will, of course, be capricious little bundles of metal and hosing and go galavanting off to pick their own master.

If you want to talk about stupid gemstones and their colors, go take a look at the colors a sapphire can take!

Heh...it's a good think I didn't do my gemstone fire-firelizards in every available color for every type of stone. I ended up picking the most common variety or what color first came to mind when you said a certian gemstone. Sapphire = blue. Ruby = red. Diamond = clear...ect. Same with my Gem Dragons...

Oh my goodness! He's absolutely, completely adorable! I couldn't be happier. Quite the color likeness as well, even my roommate agrees (who came rushing in hoping to find the source of and eventually share in the squee). Thank you so much! *hugs* And yeah, I just realized his tattoo was under the opposite eye compared to the Kiion. Certainly wouldn't have complained if you had decided to add it, but I can appreciate the accuracy. =)

I think I had my friend's talk of cosplay on the mind when I was talking of custom poses. While a cosplay Kiion would be adorable beyond belief, what you've given me is still amazing. =D But yeah, apparently some friends think with some work I could make a passable KOS-MOS from Xenosaga. I'm not so sure.

As for the DW games, I'm far more partial to 4 over 6, and I wasn't terribly thrilled over losing Da Qiao and a number of other characters, but I thought some of the gameplay and story changes in 6 were intriguing, particularly some of the refreshed character designs and character-centric mini-story modes. And DW6 Empires was enjoyable. My husband and I still play that.

I'll admit, it probably isn't enough to refresh a repetitive franchise unless you're really passionate about the Romance or you're a nostalgia junkie like myself. Though I do wish I could find a copy of Orochi or that they'd actually import the remastered PS3 version.

With the Myrsilkain... maybe someone with a giveaway Myrsilk will launch a new clutch? I'm tempted to ask for one of my own, but with the amount of paging I'm behind on (and webspace to purchase), I don't feel justified asking for more than one dragon. My Lu Xun mimic is awesome enough. *grins*
