Has anybody else noticed that some people's dragon pages are being cloned to different URL's? I've particularly been noticing this of Kitsuneko's stuff, maybe because it's at freehostia? (Unless Kitsuneko's just backing things up with different hosts... o.o' I don't know!)
Anyways, I'm not sure what's going on, but I've been seeing a lot of dragon pages at URL's while I'm googling for names I'm not familiar with the person using, given that they're all generally in one place. Has anybody else seen that too or am I just having a special moment? XD
People's websites being cloned...?!

0_o I've only been using freehostia. Where are these other URLs?
Darkling Dawn: Fauna Frenzy Open to candidates; flights open to males/females; rukel eggs/breedings available.
Drockh-Tallahn Castle: 3 eggs, 2 available. Females and males needed.
Sgiath Wolfkeep: 7 pups available
Sedona Weyr: 12 eggs, Deadline March 8. Chasers and a female needed.

Here's one for Kitsuneko: esnwa.v3host.be/darklingdawnweyr/flight2627.html (it links back to Darkling Dawn's index page and everything. o.o)
Here's one for Yakima: eucharisto.zxq.net/treval_database/dragonry/sihho.html
Here's one for Seiryuu Weyr (not sure if this is off or not, not familiar with it though the URL looks fishy!): isadoraduncandancegroup.openwebster.com/SeiryuuWeyr/scary.html
Sometimes there are lots of extra ads around the content, sometimes it looks exactly the same as the original page. O_o' I have no idea why someone would want to copy the content... it doesn't seem as though they're taking the images and claiming them as theirs. It's more like they're copying pages that get googled so that they can get more hits...? I'm not sure!

That's pretty much the most bizarre thing I've ever seen...
Maybe those are temp files, stored by hosts? I dunno - or maybe they're corrupted files from backups by the real hosts, that got moved to another site in a restore ... I dunnnooooo.

This looks like a file I would have had on Geocities - I don't use that layout for the index anymore and my wolf-mage account didn't have Sihho up yet...
Maybe it is something to do with Geocities. Still, I'm half tempted to get a hold of these people and ask why. *glowers* I'm not pleased, in truth...

Alrighty then, folks. I have no clue exactly what's going on, even after trying to look into the owners of those domain names. If any of you want to follow through with DCMA takedown notices (which is the best/only way to handle this)...
This is a good example of how to do a DCMA notice. http://www.naturescapes.net/docs/index.php/articles/314
Kitsu: The information for yours is here: http://www.dns.be/public/whois/GetWhois.htm
You'll need to do the "I am not a bot" box, then at the bottom of the following page will be a "file a complaint" link. That's effectively your way of doing DCMA on that set. v3host.be is basically a free webhost in the netherlands/dutch/whathaveyou region. Go through the dns.be site for the takedown request, though -- that's more likely to work.
Yakima: You, unfortunately, don't get a fun "push button to complain at someone" option. zxq.net is yet another free hosting place, and, as such, really doesn't have the easily identifiable "send notices here" thing. You have a couple of options -- file a notice with their registrar (http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/legal_agr ... DMARK_COPY as per that, down at copyright infringment), or file notice with this Jack Cator person as per here: http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIsStd.aspx?k= ... id=godaddy (or do admin @ netcosolutions.com, as that's a listed contact for zxq.net), or you can file notice with admin @ zymic.com.
Personally, I'd go with a netcosolutions contact, as those are the listed contacts for both zymic and zxq addresses.
The Seiryuu Weyr link is indeed incorrect, since I don't believe a dance troupe has anything to do with dragoning.
And, surprise surprise, openwebster is (yet another) free webhosting, though they, unlike the rest, offer paid services as well. None of us can officially do anything about this one, because we are neither the original copyright holder of Seiryuu, nor are we a recognized legal agent of the owner. If we want to, we can send a "hey whats up with this" with openwebster (since they, unlike the previous two, have a "report abuse" link), but I doubt anything would happen.
