I am very proud of this one - they are the only one of the three that I have been able to make a satisfactory code for. Gryphons are second easiest yet I'm struggling with finding a set of stuff that works...easily. The land dragons...I don't think they CAN have a code that allows a pairing have all colors despite the parents. Yeah, I know, yakima is getting too addicted to the code thing...but I think they are fun. Limiting in a fun way. Like a breeding project.
Anyway, the sea dragons ended up having a "new" rare color in the Setian strain. "White"! It's not a true white, truthfully it's a very pale green or blue (more so then my pale green-pale blue for the Pernese colors).
Here is the code stuff if you're interested. (now must find/ink/scan and create a template for them. dur...XD They have been collecting dust for WAAYYY to long).
Code: Select all
Base Colors
G/g is for green
B/b is for blue
P/p is for purple (also called violet)
GG, Gg, Gb, Gp are green
BB, Bb, Bg, Bp are blue
PP, Pp, Pg, Pb are purple
GB is aqua
BP is indigo
GP is black
gp, gb, gg, bp, bb, pp are white though often display very, very pale shades of the colors if they were the dominate genes. I am undecided on the fatality of these combinations.
s is for silver
r is for red
y is for yellow
SS, Ss, RR, Rr, YY, and Yy will not yeild a rare dragon. Only ss, rr, and yy will yeild a silver, red, or yellow. However should there be any conflict with these codes (like ss RR yy, SS rr yy, ect), the egg will not hatch. This would, in fact, explain the Setian sea dragons small numbers and high dud-egg rate. Because of this, a red-silver pairing often results in the normal color spectrum depending on there first set of genes. These are the Fatal codes for the sea dragons:
ss rr yy
ss rr YY
ss RR yy
SS rr yy
Gender and size are my typical codes, as well as the TPower (T1 for low, T2 for average, T3 for high, T4 for level 11). Most sea dragons have T1 and T2.
Also, just to clarify, what DO the riders of sea dragons do? It's been something I've struggled with for...a while. Perhaps it's the reason why the sea dragons don't get a lot of attention for me. I always thought of them as sea explorers and helping the ships at sea and stuff. The Alskyr site never went into detail about them and a lot of questions were never resolved for me.
Oh, and how's this for a sea dragoneer's living quarters? I know, the idea came from Altus Cove...Falora had the underwater type Cove. And this is from an actual underwater resort/hotel. XD
