Code Help (horse stuff)

Okay, so I have a list of horse genetic codes (lotus/alleles...whatever >.<) But I don't know how to organize them. Nothing I am finding tells me the "order" or how they work. This is the site I got the list from: http://www.mustangs4us.com/Horse%20Colors/Genetics1.htm (mostly the bottom...)

Any help would be appreciated. XD

This site seems to have a more detailed, indepth description of what the various genes do exactly (and is easier to read, since the other site seems to require scrolling to the right before actually being able to read anything. o_0).

Yakima, if you catch me on MSN tonight I can walk you thought them.

As a start though... A and E are the main ones to look at... they pick a horses base coat Bay, Black or Chestnut... All the other genes work on top of those.

LOL I'm going to try to. I think I might be starting to figure them out, now. *nods*

The Kijana are horse based, that will be easy. I think I have a system for Spell Weavers. The others I haven't got to. Ortari I think, are impossible. >.< I've tried dozen times but keep having the same problem. *growls*

yeah, I found that site, too...Am I right to say there is only one lotus for color? So XX and that's it?

A lotus is a kind of flower.

A locus is the point at which several genes of varying dominance (or co-dominance) can be found on a chromosome. The plural form is 'loci'... according to spell check! I keep thinking it should be 'locii'!
