Back in the Day Runner Races...

Falas Weyr (which is back up)...has a new future link in the Lower Cavern's menu called "Rous Hold".

While I was helping Tiiyn archive some sites, just to make sure we had them, I found Aneris Weyr's Runner Races (or was it Lasair? hmmm), and had an idea to start my own in the futures. Of course, I would probably have to have Tacitus on LSI have a simular thing, probably more for jousting or whatever I had going there. However, i wanted it run more like D&D system where dice and stats decide the winner, not just a roll of the dice. Does that make sense?

Things like breed (like races for D&D), endurance, training, experiance, and speed may be the type of stats. Each race entered would inprove those stats. So a dice would be rolled and, just like in D&D, determine the outcome based on the modifications and whatnot. I haven't played D&D for years so I'm a bit clueless.

Just a thought...*shrugs* I really need to find/finish those horse images for LSI...and get some Runner images, too. XD

I was saving some folks' geocities sites and came across a good number of those too

Actually I've been finishing my World of Zekira steed racing and creation workbook, it's got more stats and is way more complex than just a die roll or two but it's *designed* for racing

When I get that finished I'll show it off either way in case anyone wants to see it. But the horses were so fun, it's a shame that half the people involved with them vanished before most people even adopted any. :/

I was just wondering, how do these events work? Are there prizes, or some kind of fictional money being earned and traded? XD

I don't even remember, because I know I didn't get that far with any of mine, I would think there were "prizes".

Neither do I. I think most people were given a "plauge" to post on the page. *shrug* XD Not sure what I'm going to do...

If you get a chance, Shard, I'd like to see it. I have no idea where to start. >.< XD

Drakkin Arena used to do fights. You'd get a medal if you placed and +1 or +2 attributes. Maybe some of that could be carried over?
