He's got dark brown hair that's braided to his shoulders, usually bundled together to keep it out of his way when working at the smithy. His eyes are a peculiar shade of violet blue, while his skin has seen enough sun to be tanned across his shoulders and arms.
Personality: V'ru is a touch sensitive, given that he seems to get defensive quickly over smaller quibbles. Never the less, when he doesn't feel like he's being confronted, he can be quite clever in conversation, and will sometimes say things that come out of left field and yet are entirely relevant. He's a brave man when put to the test: if somebody or something needs help, he will be the man who is out in the middle of a storm or a fire to rescue them. He enjoys the company of firelizards, and will probably settle on a few of his own -- much like people who collect and dole out love to their cats but can't admit to it on Earth, V'ru vastly prefers the company of flits to humans.

She is quite warm in up to minus thirty degree celsius weather! Her eyes are green, flecked faintly with hints of gold.
Personality: Ziaral has seen a lot in her life, and it's made her tough to the world. She can seem to be insensitive, or insulting, however she doesn't aim to hurt others feelings. Instead, this woman sees those who are too sensitive as needing to grow a tougher skin, and she's only trying to help.

It's not that she's not clean, it's just that Nuwishe has no fear of getting dirty. She's heavily tanned, with sun-bleached brown hair. Her eyes are a hazy shade of grey, with faint crinkles at the edges. She has a sly smirk that some might consider attractive, and others might consider unnerving.
Personality: Everybody expected Nuwishe to bond a Brown, given that she comes off as butch to most. She has an inner, softer side that many don't get to see though, one that translates more into lust or anger or simple aggressive tendencies. She is not so much intelligent as she is clever given that she doesn't have much book-learning, but she can wrap her head around a situation in a moment, and most often play it to her own tune. She's one to look out for, and most don't see her coming, riding on a tiny green!

Appearance: J'cor is one of those men that sticks out in a crowd, whether it be because he stands nearly a head taller than most other men, or the flame-red curls that are always springing out from under any cap he wears. He's fair skinned, freckled, and will probably never achieve a tan that isn't accompanied by a bad sunburn. His eyes are sky blue and piercing, too intense perhaps for his overall awkward and wiry appearance, but he's also not unattractive.
Personality: Raised as a Weyrbrat, with a nest of siblings older and younger that eventually became successfully Impressed, it came as no surprise to many that J'cor Impressed, too. He bumbled through Weyrlinghood with his unusual habit of getting any job done in ways that seemed awkward and accidental, and through this somehow earned a reputation of being a reliable rider. In his spare time he makes charts of anything, and would perhaps be considered artistic, if he ever bothered to try anything else. J'cor has a rather serious and tedious nature, tending towards being shy and quiet with people but opening up to his dragon like a plant to sun.

Species: Human
Appearance: Many would consider Sibyl to be a handsomely aged woman, and though it's true there's maybe more silver than black running through her hair these days, it gives her only a premature look of maturity at her early 40 turns. She has smile lines, faintly, and fair skin that, despite turns of dragonriding, has yet to see a serious threadscore. Her eyes are brown, expressive, and slightly tapered in the corners to express a slight almond shape. In build she's short and perhaps a little stocky, but most of it is pure dragonriding muscle, which she's cultivated and kept over the years. Even so, there's something delicate in her movements, betraying a peaceful nature and kindness even seemingly just through her simple, everyday gestures.
Personality: Sibyl is a very kind person, though perhaps this isn't immediately obvious. She tends to keep to herself mostly, being not shy but rather a bit of a recluse, but she is approachable and friendly when need be. Mostly she prefers quiet, solitary hobbies, especially those that take her out beyond the Weyr walls with her beloved dragon. Herb-gathering, painting landscapes, collecting the smooth stones from a beach, all of these are things she might dabble in from time to time. Fostered as a child, she knows who her parents are but does not have a strong relationship with them.

Candidate 1 Name: V'ben
Gender: Male
Species: Nidus born human
Appearance: short and skinny, with ruddy red-brown skin, hair as dark as the midnight sky with a faint blue tint which he keeps quite short, and dark brown eyes. He often has a “pirate” looking outfit on, he likes the open-chested long sleeves, and tall leather boots. He has a charming appearance, a glimmer in his eye. He’s not much more than 24, and often has a bit of a boyish energy.

Personality: Brought up on the wide plains, loathing them with a passion – perhaps not so much the plains themselves, but the insects which the floodlands often attract. Because his family were traders, he knows a good amount about where things are located, and how to get there. Bonding a dragon only intensified this, he really excells at spotting things and remembering landmarks – and thus his skills guiding a dragon between spaces are exceptional as well. With his bonding, he became useful as a currier of messages, and uses this as an excuse to explore. He won’t go very far into deep caverns or natural caves, having been almost trapped in one as a youth. Generally speaking he is comfortable outside, and enjoys travel. He enjoys the mountains most, looking for things is more challenging there. He is also quite proud of the fact that he alone among his many siblings is reasonably well educated, up in the Nidus learning to read and write.

Species: Human
Appearance: squat, tremendously muscular, a body-builder’s frame due to his long hours of work on construction in the stone of the Nidus. Fair skinned, scarless though he doesn’t even know how he’s escaped any marks from either riding or construction. He has wavy, dark blond hair that is often dangling in his face, resting at his shoulders. He has light blue eyes. All those things might normally be considered attractive, however U’det is just not. He has a bent nose, uneven teeth, and tends to squint a lot.

Personality: rather selfish, and a bit abrupt with those who happen to get in his way. He has a large family, almost all inhabitants of the Nidus, none of them close. Born in the middle of his large sprawling family tree, he was glad to be able to find a dragon bond, and distinguish himself that way. But primarily he was trained for construction. He has been found outside the Nidus appraising stone quarries, forestry sites, and the like, getting an idea of what he can use to build things. And while out there, picked up an assortment of very odd skills: playing a hide drum for traveling gypsies, figuring out where people are from by their accents, and weirdly being able to locate and befriend almost any nest of flitters. They don’t often remain with him, but there are almost always at least three flits of some kind hanging out, and they all take instruction from him as though he’d trained them from day one.

Personality: He's a sweetie, this one. Kesar is naturally quite shy, extremely polite and deferential in most cases. He's got a minor case of the stutters, though this isn't the cause of his shyness; it's more of a symptom. Kesar likes to please, and how better than by doing what work is asked of him? He has a strong work ethic and will hop to for anybody who asks... which may put him in a tricky place for those who recognize his willingness to comply and take advantage of it.

As my current list of dragons and riders rates about 1:50 Pernese:other there's going to be some weirdness going on in the vast majority of pairings (oh lord the next one that I finished... it's like the polar opposite of pernese.
