The title is perhaps misleading, as I am willing to rescue any adoption site, but below can be found a list of places that I have saved (along with a link once they're uploaded), and a list of ones I'm working on. Any that anyone can think off to add to the need-to-save list, just post it.

Well Dragonhope is mine, so it's safe already

I picked up what I could grab from the few hatching records on Vella crean but haven't started looking for her candidates elsewhere. I think Eriol's gone, it was gone halfway through one of the hatchings I recall?

I don't think Sparkul is going to be likely to find, I grabbed the dragon images long ago, however I do have a printout without links, of the rider lists hatched.

What about Wu weyr? Where did she go again?

Eriol, the Weyr itself, was still up. (OLD SITE) I've just saved all of it except the flit images (my pc is refusing to save images tonight for some reason... which could be a flaw in the brilliant plan...) It should be up in the archive section in a few minutes... (edit: up here)

The backwards frenzy however, yes, alot of that's gone missing. I'm going to save what I can tomorrow (I have lots of it linked... so what I can find, I will grab... Delyar also has a record of all the pedigrees... because she's amazing...)

Sometimes I wonder if Eriol would still be around if the Backwards Frenzy weren't quite so large. I can imagine most anyone would have burnt out trying to see a project that size to fruition. =\

I have the second and third hatching stories from Sparkul. Sadly, the first was corrupt according to archive.org, and there may have been anywhere from four to seven hatchings.

Wu's owner is Midori, and I know she's still active. Hopefully we'll see a transfer soon. =)

I have the old pages saved and plan on re-uploading them sometime onto a new server. I just haven't done it yet.

Or rather, the riders are coming first!

I don't imagine the frenzy helped, but, Ally was also very involved with school and extra curricular stuff so I've always assumed that was more the reasoning - she would be going through college and stuff now, unless I'm mistaken, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if that didn't involve like a double major at the very least...

Ditto this. D: That was too much to take on one pair of shoulders. I hope she pokes her head in again some day, though!

I picked up what I could of Firestone. I'm not really uploading these anywhere, just saving what pages (save as web page, full) on my drive. eventually when I've got more of my own stuff done, I'll get around to remaking these if their owners aren't around.

You know, I've tried that ('cause I need to save the Quinalt Riders that Impressed at Falas) but it didn't work...anyone tell me the trick?

Or save me the ones I need and send me a zip file...or links to where you've stored them. She let me have them back when she left so...yeah...I need the info she did have of them. XD

When you're browsing a Geocities site, just click "file" and "save frame as". It'll save to wherever you ask it to, a folder with the files (images, etc) and an html page. Anything on the net can usually be saved that way.

You can also save pages as webarchives and keep things on your drive nice and tidy (images and such are embedded and not saved in a separate folder) if you don't plan on uploading directly, though as I've learned the hard way sharing an external drive between a PC and a Mac, .mht is a Windows-proprietary format. Mac saves webarchives as... shockingly enough, .webarchive files. Amazing concept.

Ally also did the Backwards Frenzy the year she graduated High School (I think anyway) and, judging by the few LJ updates she does, she's ridiculously busy with classes, studying, work, extra-curriculars and boys. And you're close Tiiyn, she's doing meteorology with a minor in "global business strategies and applied mathematics". I think my brain hurt a little just from reading that. (Did I ever mention how weird it is to come back to this at 20 when I was 16 when I left? You guys all seemed so old back then! /tangent)

I'm missing some offspring from the dead circles, so if your guys aren't listed please please drop me a PM so I can fill it out better. :)

I found it easiest to just save the code and chop out the obnoxious bits. So View Source -> Save As, but I'm also a compulsive hand-coder. I think everyone will have a different method that they prefer for saving files. So long as it's functional in the end, it's all good.

Tiynarea is saved... along with images from both sites (my save image is working again today apparently)...

It's taking longer then expected, but I'm working on it...

nb. If someone wants to go through the saved sites, and double check all the links work, I'd love you... I think I have everything, but, I'd hate to miss a page all the same.

I just got reminded of this site with all the talk of Alskyr (-cough- Yakima's LSI updates) but - the alskyr info page is also hosted on geocities.

Both world_of_alskyr and the_ are still up, but world_of (without the_ ) is more updated.

I think if a weyrwoman's site's gone, it negates the presence of a betweened dragon lol. Or you might just replace the dragon with one of your own or another locale with the approval of their owner (like mine, or whoever, running a giveaway or the like).

Caer Brynmor is saved completely... however, for some reason I cannot get the links to work correctly... anyone fancy taking a look for me to see what I'm missing...?

I've got them files saves at .html I've also tried saving them as .htm but neither works... "bottom2" with not .anything brings up the page but it's like, the coding, not actually showing as web coding...

(I can easily go through and add .html to each link... for the sake of making the site work... but I am curious now, as to what Kesava's done, lol.)

Is Xalia the one in charge of Tripaldi? I haven't seen her in a while. :x I hope she shows up again though!

Tiiyn, you're my hero. I've been using the Backwards Frenzy site a lot lately, and am so glad that it won't be et!

(I think certain circles just never got put up, or were eaten soon after created -- I remember being frustrated with the dead circles soon after the hatchings went out!)

I just went through about half of Sapphire weyr, I can't believe we hadn't remembered it... o.o 504 unavailable now that I drained it of its bandwidth.

You know, you'd think they would temporarily change their bandwidth restrictions in light of the "grab it while it's up" thing...
