Shimmer Frenzy: HATCHING!!! :P

Okay, I had a withdraw from the Shimmer Frenzy so there is a place open for eggs if anyone wants to send me something. However, it cannot be of any of the species I already have. No Pern (aka Old World...you know, for some reason that term bugs me), Alskyrian, ect.

As for candidates...Kujachyth's clutch is ready to hatch once I get off my lazy (well, I'm actually putting pedigrees for the Frenzy together so I'm actually very busy but also very distracted), butt it will hatch and the only candidates allowed to come to Falas or the FGPC are Shimmer Frenzy candidates!

PS. I'm also planning a second All-Earth Clutch for anyone wanting to send Earth characters in!

Egg Count: probably around 8, but feel free to adjust that up or down a little bit...no more than 10, though.

Um....offspring appearance...probably will be oriental/serpentine in appearance, possibly with a feathered and/or webbed crest, long horns and/or long tufted ears. Possibility for 'gems' along underbelly, and a possibility for long whiskers.

Okay, I've started a poll because I'm beginning to worry about not only the Shimmer Frenzy but Falas in general. I hate begging for candidates. The above poll is only for the Shimmer Frenzy as I think all my sites will be closing and reopen with clutches once I'm caught up personally with my characters - and that may be a while. I'm not trying to punish anyone but it seems like there are more important places out there then an 'Old World' site. (Hey, I'm proud to be one of the few that's left!) But what good is it being open when it sites there and gets revamped every now and then to keep me busy. *shrugs* I may be hatching Treval's clutch as it is - perhaps I should return Treval to what it was meant to be without clutches. *shrugs again* I like my ideas and I know others do but I feel like I'm being ignored. If it's just too much going on right now and people can't get candidates out that's fine (heck, switching to Firefox has flung me back to square one with my sites as all need to be redone to work in Firefox...*pouts just because*)

I'm going to shut up but that is how it stands. Perhaps I should just disappear for a long while after all my current candidates/sponsers bond and maybe when I come back, I'll be able to get candidates/sponsers again. I am thinking about closing down Baskar completley. It never really did 'blend in' with the Icarus scene and after the scrap I got into with it I can't see people being too thrilled about it. I like Baskar how it is - others are too picky. *shrugs* We'll see...I need to clean my room now...please to snap at me too much about this. It's just how I feel...

Yes, and it is a good feeling, in the sense that I'm glad you are sharing it.

Personally, I cannot send candidates anywhere at this time. I have to catch up on updates. Before finishing those, I have to finish the Incan Frenzy. Before finishing that, I have to make sure I'm on top of life.

Personally, I was interested, and am still interested, in the shimmer frenzy. Just not much I can do about it right now... Sadly.

I can't even find it. I'm sorry but while I really do want to send candidates, every time I tried sending *dragons* for you, the rules changed. I do wish you'd settle on one rule and stick with it. I wound up frustrated and confused about who might have gotten in and who didn't, I know I sent a few your way but I never saw them up on the list. When I've asked before, I have been more confused because again, the rules have changed every time.

When I have the time I will find some candidates for it. There is interest: I really REALLY love your images. You're a terrific artist. But stop changin the rules on us!

And, please link it in your sig. I think that might help.

I'll try to slip the FGPC link in there, Shard...(btw it's http://www.geocities.com/fgpc_weyrhall/) but the length is picky...Falas is linked with the button, though. THere should be a great big button that says Shimmer Frenzy and it take you the the Shimmer Frenzy menu...Since I'm going to have all the records at the FGPC anyway, I saw no point in making two pages. Sorry if this is confusing but it seemed easier and I wanted it to be linked to the FGPC, not a page I would delete later or something. *facepalm*

I haven't changed the rules for ages. What did I change. I'm honestly not /that/ picky for the FGPC and the Shimmer Frenzy is basicly all-out. I think I updated the rules so that you didn't have to go to the basic rules at the Weyr or something...Most of the stuff I probably 'added' was basic stuff everyone should know!

As for the candidates, I remember you sending some then you sent them somewhere else so I didn't bother. *shrugs*

But, yeah, I'll change my sig but Baskar's link might disapear...

You'll take sponsors who are capable of raising a dragon, right? So..... do My Little Ponies count? I mean, they make gazebos and castles and paint fences and stuff. *cough* ... Yes, i have been on a bit of a pony island kick recently, so .. I have 2 'normal' mlp's and one Sangerpony. I'd love to send the pair for sponsorships.... heh. I mean, between two Ponies they could conquer whole worlds!!

Since I've gotten no applications thus far *hopes MSN isn't eating them if people have sent them*, I started working on/finished some of the dragons in this clutch. The images are here:

Also, yes, this is a Shimmer Frenzy however...

1: Not ALL dragon will be Shimmered! Pernese will mostly be shimmered but it is a geneticaly altered Frenzy so not all of them will be shimmered because it's a new coloration and not all the breeds in the Frenzy have been studied for color manipulation. So, if you DON'T want a Shimmer dragon, fine! Tell me you don't want a Shimmer dragon!

2: I AM accepting sponsers for the dragon types that don't need to bond! So far, I know of at least six types that don't need a bond. You can sponser up to 2, however, per character and up to 6 per person and candidates will take predicessor over sponsers...Caretakers are also allowed but I mostly use 'caretaker' for the wolves because caretaker is technically a sponser...kinda...sorta...

Ok...done...if you have any comments or tips for the dragons drawn, please let me know! I'm not sure if that Pern one is going to stay because I think the wings should be bigger so I'm going to play with it. I'm not going to start inking them until I'm satisfied with them!

I am absolutely in love with the legend drak and Pern/Alsyr cross images! I'm still planning to send you one candidate, and I'll have to think up someone else for a legend drak...Possibly more, because I love your images. ^_^
Now I need to make myself sit down and write the story, though. ^^;

@Shard: I have Zandor! Just haven't updated yet. I just read your idea and I'm not to sure about it. I think I still want to stick to humans and at the very least, dragons...*ponders* Let me think on that. I don't want to get too weird because I like a bit of traditonal stuff left at the FGPC...heh...

@Kit: Yeah, those two are also my favorites. I'm very pleased with the Legend Drak as well as a few others. Considering I drew all, of not most, in backdrive at work between taking order money...

Yeah...I get bored back there. At least I put it to good use!

Oh...is it just me or do the Iulerbrilan dragons look just like Pernese ones? I kinda would like to know that because I know the person who ran C-whatever Caverns used Dark Moon Weyr's Pern images...*blinks*

thanks...PSP for normal work - Photoshop for shimmery effect! I'm figuring out how to get the belevel effect to look nicer, too...

Just need to finish with the normal work as the shimmer part takes about 5 mins and the rest can take hours!

Just a reminder that I will not be accepting candidates after th 17th of this month. Either there will be a lot of dud eggs or I will be allowing some to be put up on the abanonded page later. When the clutch hatches, I don't know but I will not accept candidates after the 17th unless you beg. I've been busy and with my step-dad being a jerk at home to just about everyone (including me...), I really don't have the motivation latley to work on templates. I feel miserable inside and the fact that I haven't gotten a candidate (other then DNS'), in months is depressing me. If I don't have a lot of candidates I will not be creating all the templates unless I decide to adopt out dragons from this clutch later.

Yes, I'm depressed and I want this clutch off the FGPC sands. It's been there for way over a year - probably almost two. Like a big, black cloud threatening me...oh...wait...that's Segs...nevermine...

If you'll accept it, I can get a stats page candidate to you. I do tend to put more effort into their appearance/personality if they don't have a story.
