Today's the last day to turn your images in on time! And if my records are correct, there's only one person yet to turn in an image. Pretty good compared to our previous track record!

And I so did not get around to volunteer images after all. XD Whoops.

Hey, Naeodin,

I guess you probably figured out by now that I got you this month :{ I know that nobody likes hearing excuses, but I'd like to at least explain what happened this month.

I actually had a lot of trouble with your dragon... I couldn't figure out how I wanted to work with the idea... I stared at playing cards, sketched dragon-playing-cards, dragons playing with cards, dragon kings, etc. but I hated all the sketches :/

Then two days ago, I was at work and I finally got an idea, so I grabbed some printer paper (the closest paper) and drew and inked your dragon. I had my Prisma markers with me that day, so I colored it there too. Then, somewhere between finishing it and going home, I lost it. Which is weird, since I work in my family's office. Nothing should have happened to it. I looked in my backpack and all over my desk and couldn't find it... then I looked on my mom's desk... she had taken my drawing, cut it in half, and written phone messages all over it. This isn't the first time she's taken my drawings or my writing notes and cut them into "scratch paper". Sometimes she comes into my room, takes entire stacks of my drawings, takes them to work, and uses them as scratch paper. I can't stop her, she only gets mad at me and screams at me if I ask her to stop doing it. She just says I can always make a new drawing and we need to save paper.

So basically, I have your dragon done, it's just cut in half and written on :{ I'm so sorry. I should have put it right into my backpack when I was done with it instead of leaving it on my desk. I can definately tape it back together and scan it, but I want to edit out the pen writing on it. I know I'm late now, and if I get blacklisted that's okay, but if I could just get even a half-day extension, I can clean it up and have it turned in. It's up to you guys. I apologize for this :{

I decided not to go to bed and try and fix it now.

It mostly worked... it looks a little smudgy in places because that's where I edited out the cut in the paper and the writing :{

Anyway! Her "clothing", including its color, was inspired by the designs on the queen cards in a deck of playing cards I have.

Name: I've just been thinking of her as The Queen, so name is up to you :}
Abilities: She can become two-dimensional, like a card :3 Plus she can summon roses, either red or white ones.

I'm sorry for the lateness. I hope this is okay, and I hope you like her even a little :3

BTW, how do some of you manage to get your GIFs looking so awesome? It seems like no matter what I do in Paint Shop Pro 9, no matter what settings I use, my GIFs always look like crap. Any pointers? :{ I'll try resaving it again if anyone has any ideas...

Gifs? I always save my stuff in png and then grumble silently when people point out not everyone can save in png format.

Lakota, I'm sorry about all the trouble I put you through! I know what it's like-- kind of, when it comes to inspiration. Sometimes I think allll the time, get several different ideas and somehow, something else just pops into my head and... its out of control. :3 No problems about anything, and I'm glad you got me!

Secondly, I love the Queen. :3 I'm going to have her as the Queen of Hearts, mainly because I was inspired over an (disney version) Alice in Wonderland skit with her and my Joker. :3 Thank you so much!

Hey Lakota...try playing with the difusion dither in PSP...that's what usually made my gifs look better, but in the long run photoshop just makes better gifs than PSP does...

Hee...sorry...keeps me amused at least. at least I tell you who is talking...lol! *glares at her muse who is extreamly giddy about the fact the PC can come home tomarrow - at a great cost to my financial perdicerment...* Okay, not that big but still....
