Okay, so first off, I'd like to say that I absolutely hate not being able to deliver on the primary request of an art trade. Therefore, I spent numerous hours and much leg cramping from too many stairs meandering around the library, looking for sources. Eventually, I returned to the net, the only true source of info, and found a reference pic. :D That's when I asked whether or not the cover was a suitable depiction of Shimmer.

However, I'd also like to apologize for the colouring job on this one. I had wanted to do shading, but every attempt I made ended in failure. That's why this has taken me so long. I tried to get the colours as close to the Shimmer on the cover as I could. Hopefully I did a decent job. @.@

Thus, without further ado, I present Shimmer from Dragon of the Lost Sea!

P.S. Put this on a white background elsewise the shining-ness (which didn't turn out very shiney) from the pearl in her hands doesn't look right.

I hope you like this guy because he took me FOREVER! *L* I think he looked better as line art than he does colored...not sure I really did him justice, but here he is.

Name: Dranubis (feel free to change this...he's technically Anubis in dragon form, hence I dubbed him Dranubis, but that's just what I've been calling him.)
Info: This crafty dragon can shapeshift into two forms other than his natural dragon form. He can take on a canine/jackal form or a humanoid form, but his head remains the same in all forms, it only changes sizes based on the form he's in. He often takes human form in order to impersonate Anubis who he emulates but scorns all at the same time. He has similar powers to Anubis. Anubis is the God of the underworld, escorting souls to be judged before escorting them safely back to their body where they can spend immortality in peace. Dranubis has powers of the underworld as well, but he's much more likely to trick souls into coming with him by taking on Anubis's form. He can then bring those souls that went with him willingly back from the underworld on a whim to aid him in whatever way he sees fit. So, while this dragon may look like Anubis, he has not Anubis' kind, giving nature.

Let me know what you think of him! I spent a lot of time doing research on Anubis in order to draw him so I hope he's something like what you were going for!

It was great that you researched Anubis, but i'm sorry. I'm going to have to change a lot of that to get him to fit into my world. :/ I already have Anubyss (also known as Anny) and he's the god of my underworld and my grim reaper ladalda...

This guy would make a perfect guardian though! Always in need of those! And i could play with his powers that you gave him to make it fit. *ponders* i love him he's so awesome! But i should have thought about it before i posted. :/ sorry Xalia, hope i'm not overstepping my bounds or po'ing you. It just i can't have -two- Anubises. And i already have my Anny (http://www.deviantart.com/view/21439167/ that's a recent of mine if you're curious..).

No problem...do what you like with him... I didn't want him to /be/ Anubis that's why I did his powers and such as I did so rename him, play around with him. He's yours so you can change anything about him you want. I never intended him to be Anubis...just kind of a wannabe! Glad you like him!

And Fuzzy...it actually wasn't too bad...too a little while, but it was pretty easy, just simple swipes of shading with my tablet pen and then a little highlight to emphasize it!

Colour(s): Dark violet, pink, blue, green, reds, yellows oranges and gray pointed. I tried for aurora but i couldn't do it very well traditionally. And that's -all- i had time for. I scanned the lineart though, in case you want a deep rainbow colored one later.

Features: Fur, Feathers, long and sleek, slender head. Again, i tried ;_; His head looked smaller before i added the mane. But i tried to keep him azonese for ya ;D
Species: Dragon. (Rayllomain Dark Berain (it's a contient on Rayllom in the north, hence the fur) Rogue x something eastern and feathered) So he's half Dark half something..

Well actually no dar'keria ever falls into the range of evil o.O They can be malicious but that's the furtherest most go. It's because of their history. He can be however chaotic neutral. Could you perhaps change that? ^^

This particular male is very brightly colored for his regional type - most of the Northern breed are dull in color, making it easier for them to hunt.

Now, since this species doesn't have released information yet, I get to start babbling here. :D

You have seen the Lesser Kynnese Dragons before. Well, these are their cousins, the Greater Kynnese Dragons. They have some traits in common, but in many cases are very different.
Greater Kynnese Dragons are almost never found with wings. They do not fly, naturally or magically. Instead, you will notice, that they have large, almost shovel-like claws, which are not only excellent for hunting, but give them the suppose to run long distances, as well as the ability to burrow - generally in soft earth, sand, or snow, depending on their region.

They have the same elemental properties as their Lesser cousins, which is indicated by their eye color. Greater Kynnese have markings on their bodies that they are born with. Each one has different markings, and they indicate the favored type of magic the dragon can cast. Most only have one or two colors. Three is rare, and beyond that is nearly impossible. This trait is not believed to be genetically linked to the affinities of the parents, but it is unknown at this time.

Like the Lesser Kynnese, Greater Kynnese Dragons are sexually dimorphic. The females have a shorter mane which collects near the shoulders, while males have the spinal mane as pictured in this individual above.

Greater Kynnese Dragons have superior mental abilities in comparison to their Lesser cousins. They have verbal telepathy, which they can accent with the same colors and emotions that the Lessers use as their primary mode of communication. Greaters can speak with anyone, as well, not just an Inspired.

The Greaters are divided up several different ways. First is by region. The Northern type has long, fluffy fur overtop their scales. As they do not shed this fur in summer, they prefer colder climates. They often to not show bright colors. There are a few others, but since none of them have gone out yet, I'll leave that as a surprise.
Then there are Tiers. A Greater's Tier is determined by two factors. First, the metallic color of the claws and horns. There are six Metal Tiers, from highest ranking to lowest: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Steel, Copper, and Brass. Then is the Crystal Tier. A Greater Kynnese Dragon always has a gem embedded somewhere on its body, usually on the head, neck, or chest area. There are eight Crystal Tiers: Diamond, Opal, Amethyst, Emerald, Onyx, Sapphire, Ruby, and Topaz. There are a few rare other Tiers, but they will be discussed when one of them is seen.

Greater Kynnese Dragons do not bond an Inspired as their Lesser cousins do. Instead, they often select a Companion, who can be of any race. This individual assists the dragon, but is not its rider or master, and the dragon will not hesitate to banish its Companion for assuming this. They can choose another Companion at any time, and some have even had more than one. Companions are bound to their dragon through a magical ritual which only the dragon knows how to perform. (Hence why they can also break it at their whim, but that is never done without careful consideration first.)

I think I got everything. Oh yes - Greater Kynnese Dragons can mate with other species of dragons, but often avoid it if a flight is expected. If the other dragon in question doesn't mind that the Greater Kynnese cannot fly, then it's not so much a problem.

YAKIMA! I sure hope even with the computer crash, you're still around, cuz I finalyl got your exchange dragon done o.o Apologies for the lateness-- combination of way too much schoolwork and implacatable inspiration for a couple other projects >.>

But! I have your Draco-dragon right here! For some reason I keep thinking of it as a female-- maybe the coloration-- but you can make it what you like ^^ I tried to get the wings as cool as the Draco-wings, but it didn't turn out quite so cool... I hope you like anyway ^^'
