Mythology Giveaway: -DONE- Sea Wolves
I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow, so unfortunately these guys won't be ready before June. I'm going to make sign up for them now before I leave though, and they'll be completed sometime around the second week of June hopefully.
These guys are based on the sea wolf myth of the Haidas. Fearsome big beasts that fed on orcas and occasionally surfaced to wreak havoc on seaside villages. These guys are direct descendants from the fearsome Wasco.
You've got two colours to choose for these guys, a main body colour and marking colour.
colours must be chosen from a certain list:
Available colours
white/off-white
brown (wood)
red
blue
yellow
earthy green
choosing brown will give your guy a woody texture! just so you know.
Now, if you're hosting a clutch of your own, that has its perks-
Participant-only colours
abalone
silver
gold

Yes, yes, and yes! They look absolutely stunning (and descending from Wasco too, oh boy awesome). I love the concept behind this and the execution looks to be great as well. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Actually...I don't think that's a whale...looks like an orca to me... (especially seeing as Mud mentioned they feed on orcas...) And we all know orcas aren't really whales, yes?

I think that they fall into the same category as dolphins, because they have teeth rather than baleen. But I thought that toothed whales as a whole still all fell into the whale category. Of course we're talking dolphins the mammals, not dolphins the fish (aka mahi mahi). Ok nerd blather over ... correct me if I'm wrong, this is just as far as I know

Oh, I get it. Truthfully, I didn't even know dolphins and whales were two different things. Porpoise is the word I'm thinking suddenly, perhaps. Well, that makes sense.
Gee, ya learn something new everyday! LOL

Sorry these guys haven't come out yet, The cintique still needs to be set up, so I need to bug Mike more to do it- I don't know how to set up the dual-screen stuff properly.
My vacation was great! It was super hot in Hawaii. I'm not very tanned (I got burned on the first day and decided I would use spf 30 suncreen heavily from then on) but I got lots and lots of sun.
The food! Oh, the seafood. I always forget how much I miss fresh seafood living in Alberta. I had some amazing Marlin sushi and grilled swordfish there. We also found a great place for shave ice, which is some sort of wonderful in-between of a snow cone and a slurpee.
The biggest highlight for me was on the last day we went to Hanauma Bay to do some last-minute snorkeling. It's this big protected reef with super clear water and tons of different undersea wildlife. I saw a GIANT red moray eel that had to be at least 2 1/2- 3 feet long. It swam right under me
all in all an awesome vacation. I should post some pictures of the bay later, so pretty.
