Site Search Thingy...

Does anyone know how to put a search thing on a site? I would like to stick on on the Archive site but I have no clue what to do...

The search engines I'm familiar with make use of databases, commonly interfaced with scripts written in languages like Ruby and PHP.

The one I use at the moment (though it's a might bit broken, but that's my fault) is a MySQL database interfaced with PHP.

I'm currently working on a side project in Ruby (with a similar database in MySQL, but a bit more detailed)....which along with being an excellent search engine will also eliminate my need to write static HTML pages ever again. >3 But anyway.

I don't know what you're looking for. There might be some sort of web crawler script that you could set loose on your site for a search engine, but I'm not sure. (And if there was, well, I find that solution not as elegant, but again, that's just me. ^_^)

I just need something for the first page, or the side menu, so that you can come into the Archive, put in a dragon name (ie gold Anazith or Anazith) and it searches all the pages. Because the origin of a dragon may not be known all the time.

Does anyone have the link for the pickup for the Eriol backward Frenzy? That's a mess, to be sure. heh...The flight list dosn't even have Flynnth and Soliath on it and I know they participated. heehee
