Thought I might show some of the babies I did. They're some of the important Ortari to be at the Dragonry - or the pretty ones... In order of listing: Ariss Cianna, Zhair Brelain, Ehras Tavarn, Ezhno Isonor, Kihan Esanas, and Shion Kimena.
Now I shall not bug you all for a while...until the yearling is done...*blink*

That's Zhair. He's the dragon of the DragonLord. The white next to him is Ariss...his mate. I like Zhair, the black, green, and blue one the best...the colorations turned out cooler then I thought. Now, on to the Yearling (which if finished outlining today...my new method takes longer but makes them look way much better, me thinks. )Shard wrote:Oooh that red is so pretty!

*hopes she dosn't curse this drawing like the rest seem to be when I post it but...it's the wings again...I got stuck*
Anyway, working on the adult again. It's amazing what time my muse likes to inspire me - 2 am isn't my choice of picking up the drawing pad normally. >.< Either the medicine (which I pretty much was having an overdose-type-reaction to) hadn't fully wore off yet or I was fighting an urge to call my guy (who sliced his hand that day and, yes, I was worried and would have rather been at his place babying him wheather he liked it or not.....)
But this was what I started on....this morning...bright (well, it wasn't bright out 'cause it was still very dark....) and early.
I think the scales on the belly, neck, and tail should be larger...maybe. And i need to fiddle with the eye. Other then that I rather like this one. I 'copied' the yearling only because my intent to have an optional magic orb of there element under the raised paw/talons. *shrug*

I'd say that the eye looks just fine right now! XD
As for the wings, just make them bigger! How much surface area do you think it'd take to allow these guys to soar? Keep that in mind while working on the arms and finger-tines and webbing... Heck, if you can think of a different system for flight using webbed wings, try working that out using muscles and skeletons and stuff. O_o' Ahkahna set up her own (jealously guarded! XD) anatomy for her not-actually-but-still-looks-like-dragons, and Kat was looking into a way to make her dragons' flight more realistically likely. Puzzling out what you think would actually work is kind of fun and gives a better understanding about wings... since you've been having chronic problems with them, it might be a good exercise!
