Reindeer Games - Open for Candidates! - Update

Update 2-22-08: I'm still working on these. I have almost all the pairings drawn up, but my laptop has gone on a brief vacation (it's going in to be looked at on Monday). Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, as I have PSP on my husband's desktop as well. But his desktop refuses to recognize my new scanner, so I have no way to get the pics in to work on!

If my laptop is still out when I finish up the linearts, I may see if my old scanner still works on this comp, but I think I had him remove the old one, since I was going to add the new one :/

Also - would people rather see these computer-colored or by hand? If people prefer one or the other, I'll try to oblige, but if my laptop can't be fixed, I may lean toward handcoloring - the mouse on this comp is not great XD Depending on the response, I may even attempt a little of both -I do have a Tablet I need to figure out how to use properly!

Misvie Caelumpictor looked at her bond and sighed. He always got a little down this time of year. It was always worse when someone started singing that song, and since it was the holiday season, it had been sung at least once a day. Though, she was slightly curious about how the song even made it to Malnev.

When she'd been a kit, Rudolph had told her stories about where he'd grown up, and how he'd been treated in a similar manner by some of the other reindeerdragons as the poor deer in the song. It wasn't his fault he was smaller than all the others, or that he had a rather brightly colored nose. Still, not all the others had treated him badly, and he wouldn't mind seeing some of them again some day.

But when Misvie had asked him to take her back to see his homeworld, he refused. He didn't want to face the ones who had treated him badly. She backed down, but it still upset her when he got so lonely during this season. He always missed the company of others like him, but he could hide it during the rest of the year.

The she got the Idea. It was a wonderful idea, she thought. Rudolph wouldn't have to leave Malnev to meet other 'deerdragons. She could get them to come to him! She wrote a small note, telling him she'd be back soon, and took off. She wanted to get the word out right away!

Ok, so I've had this idea stuck in my head for like 2 years now, but never had time (or artistic inspiration) to do it. Until now. So it's time for Reindeer Games! Or the Reindeer Frenzy may be more appropriate title, but not as fun. This is being held on Malnev, in character if you choose, ooc if you prefer, and Misvie is the one in charge.

I'll be holding sign ups for the next week or so, depending on how much interest there is/how long it takes for people to sign up.

Rules:
1 - Deer/deerdragons only. Reindeer, any other type of deer, the kirin Shard gave out, all good, Unyko's deer from last year, there are others I know
2 - No limit on the number submitted per person, at least for now. Maybe later, but I want to have plenty to choose from.
3 - Every one who submits at least one dragon to participate is guaranteed at least one baby. There is no guarantee that it will be the offspring of your dragon. If you submit more than one, then your chances of getting one of you own are much better. I'm going to try to limit the offspring per pair to something semi-realistic (for deer), so more than likely, two to three babies per pair.
4 - I'd much prefer the participants be paged, so I can see their abilities and such. They don't have to have any related story, unless you really get inspired.
5 - Please post forms in this thread. Questions too, unless you don't want everyone to see; then you can PM the question XD

Ok, updated the first post with all the current applicants. I was hoping to see a few more of Shard and Samber's reindeer dragons, and maybe Shard's kirins, but we've still got time.

I think I'll probably let Kinenbi sit this out - I don't want to step on TyGryph's toes! And I don't think Res'vbri is quite reindeer enough, but we'll see how ambitious I get XD If I don't get enough females, I may let her participate, and use some "magic" to get things to work out!

Signups will stay open a few more days - at least till the weekend. I'd love a few more females; males are also good, but extra females is slightly easier for me to deal with than extra males XD

Yeah Blitzen and those are the reindeerdragons from 2 years ago's Gather.

I believe I stated their sizes at around large-deer to horsey sized. I'll go dig for that, I don't know whether it's on this forum or not. I think so.

(edit) yeah actually the ones laying down were meant to be females, but I don't know that it truly matters? I'm not even sure where the others all got to, if they're all up or if some didn't make it from 2k4 till now. Obviously a couple did

Perhaps that's magic of their own...

Yeah and it's a shame too, because that was *right* before we switched to this board. Nothing remains of that exchange, on the boards at least.

I think searching birthdays might yeild some more info about them, though I don't know how many *reindeer* I did for bdays, versus *kirin*.

Shard: Hehe, I have a list of who got each one of the Christmas ones that year - I asked you about it last year (roughly) when I first came up with this idea XD

I'm working on this, I just got majorly distracted the last couple days, so the flight is going a little slower than planned. It will be done soon, and it may be slightly bigger than planned. I hadn't expected so many (and had completely forgotten about the kirin of DNS's). Some of the pairs may be interesting! XD
