Hope that's all okay! :P I took some liberties with breath weapons after reading up on their info! (If she were to breed, would the magic types be connected with coat colour? If her half-breed offspring weren't her coat colour, would they get different kinds of magic, or would they inherit her shadow/solar/animal abilities anyways?)

It's all fine, Dray. ^^ Everything looks right -- though, on the lineage chart, you have Dosipun listed as the father, and Xasare as his grandfather =P Pretty sure that's not right.

As for your question...

Back a long, long time ago, in the mists of time when I first made the Alaiskya, colors were completely unconnected to magical ability. Or that's the way it was supposed to be (because I was rolling dice to determine magic-types and power).

There are a couple of tentative color-affinity pairings that are "unofficial" in that I never listed them anywhere. Also, the colors are the basic ROYGBIV style, in that I never really differentiated (so, Ice Blue, Dark Blue, and Light Blue are all considered "Blue", but usually mean different things, also, some things fall under multiple color categories, like Storm does)

Red = Blood/Fire
Orange = Solar
Yellow = Storm/Solar/Protection/Light
Green = Wood/Earth/Healing
Blue = Water/Air/Ice/Light
Indigo = Animal
Violet/Purple = Glamour/Shapeshifting/Divination
Black = Shadow/Void/Storm/Astral
White = Light/Moon/Astral

I had a tendency to play fast and loose with these colorations, though, but in general that rule held. Usually, the magic ability that was the lowest didn't really show much (if at all) on the Alaiskya, while the dominant ability showed up in body color, and second most powerful showed up in the crest color. Usually.

I'd say, in half-breeds, they'd get different kinds of magic, though they'd probably be a bit predisposed towards the parent's magic-styles unless overridden by abilities the mate possesses.

Markings (like Kios' points or Veya's stripes) only show up if a parent carries them.
