VotS Species Conservation Project: 11-13 - Gen02a Pickup!

Post by Unyko »

Pickup for Gen 02a!
http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... ct/02a.htm

Sorry it took me so long, there was Stuff in the way of me actually sitting down to get it done. ^.^; Next few generations might have to wait until the semester is out. *burried under schoolwork* @.@

However, also at the end of the semester, I'm gonna have time to go through and check for links for -all- of the previous generations, as well as this last one. So this is your advance warning: you have until the 20th of December to get everyone up, or I may be forced to abandon your dragon. (And I really don't like doing that.. ^.^; ) If you need an extension, just let me know, any time from now 'till the 19th. 'Sound fair? That's a little over five weeks from now, so you've got plenty of time. <3

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So yeah, basically everyone who signed up this time gets a dragon, since there was so little interest. ^.^;;
http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... ct/01a.htm
http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... ct/01b.htm
http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... ct/01c.htm
JKat, Shard and Kit: You can pick names for yours, or I can, either way. ^.^; I left that blank, and if you didn't give me a gender, I gave them one with a '?' in case you had something different in mind. *salute* Lemme know, kay?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Right, so. Previews are up, and I'm goingt to start sending out the offspring. What will happen is sort of a mix between a random draw and an application-type thing. ^.^; Since I got such mixed reviewes. So! I'll put up the available dragons shortly, and you can send in a form. Everyone will get a variable number 'tickets' for the ammount of effort put in. It's sorta raffle-like in that respect.

Basic form (name and email) will earn you one ticket.
Simple stats of someone to take in said dragon, or a paragraph-long setting where it will move into once it's yours will earn you two tickets. More detailed stats and story will earn you three tickets.

So you figure, you have a chance of winning with just signing up for the draw, but the more you invest in this, the better your chances. Also, you -can- reuse already made characters, and sponsor or bonding is your choice. Genesis would have fiddled with these guys' genes enough that if bonding was necessary it no longer is. *salute*

So yeah, watch this spot. ^.^; *sets up for giveaway, and will likely open in an hour or so*

~~~~~~~~~~~~
*impatient - picks males for the first three* Keep sending participants though! Males, females, anything. <3 I'll have the previews up for each of the three clutches very soon. X3 *salute!*
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tada! Page. ^.^

http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... i/project/

I'll be updating the list of participants shortly, but you can keep on sending in dragons even after the two males are chosen for the first two clutches. *salute*

(And JKat: if you want, I can have Cerasenany be a third 'base' for another line... X3)

~~~~~~~~~~~
XD Yeah I know, pitiful title, but I have yet to come up with a better one for this little breeding project. ^.^;;
So, what is it, you ask? Well. A couple of new arrivals have just made their appearance at the Valley, and have decided that simply mixing Saa genes with random dragons is not going to help their situation any. The brother and sister pair of Zy Eketh from one of the planet's moons are now setting up to do something about that. They want to help in the creations of hybrids and mutts that look as much like the SaaShiyovi without actually having any Saa blood in them at all. Which is a difficult task to have put themselves to. What's more, they're going to keep it a secret from the general population of the Valley until their project bears fruit. And so, to that end, they have begun construction on a hidden base with only the help of one special Saa who knows the plans, and their distant cousin, who oversees the size-changing magic for the normal flights.
Right. So. This is gonna run alot like Dray's BWR Giveaway, actually.. though I don't think there will be more than five or so eggs per clutch, and two or three of those will be spoken for (mother and father get a freebie, and one stays with the project if neither parent is one of mine). So yeah, not so much with the giveaway stuff, more with the fun 'mixing of genetics' stuff. XD And I hope Dray doesn't come and mawl my ears for stealing her idea. ^.^;;;;
I'm starting out with two rising females, both of which bear very vague resemblance to the Saa already, and have no actual blood relation with eachother. But I'll need some males to help out (since they haven't quite gotten to Nessies level of gender switching yet.. XD), and females too, for later on. Again, it'll run very much like the BWR, in that there aren't really actual flights taking place.. more of.. selective breeding. ^.^; So anydragon who feels particularly altruistic, or just wants their genes passed along, can feel free to join in. There aren't many restrictions, other than the need to have some sort of physical feature similar to the Saa (http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... sident.htm). And I'm trying to get as many seperate strains as possible, so don't be afraid to send in someone's sibling or cousin if you think they'd work (though I hope not to have all -that- many related dragons in this, otherwise it'll be difficult to pick an unrelated pair. ^.^;;)
So! I plan on having a page up very soon, with info and participants and all that, but for the moment, here are the two females that will be flying first:
Shearii: http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/nexus/shea.htm
Re'nae: http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/nexus/renae.htm
And now we get to the form. ^.^; Doesn't really matter how large they are, since they can be resized for the flight like they are at VotS. <3 You can send these via PM, email, or just post 'em here (which is actually preferable.. *sheepish*).
Form for Participation:
Name:
Email:
Dragon's Name:
Dragon's Gender:
Dragon's URL:
Ta'da? *works on putting together pages for the project*
(Also, if there is another species that seems to need help in this way, let me known and I'll see about adding on to the project. X3 *not sure if anyone is at all interested, but will offer, just in case* ^.^;)
oO A challenge, to find dragons who match! This might be tough. XD
Is there a concrete list of traits you're looking for? That might help!
Addendum: is this the kind of thing you're looking for?
http://artdragon.mine.nu/~kat/aven/deesilen.html#lishea - short neck, fuzzy ears, bare tail.
http://artdragon.mine.nu/~kat/aven/cheryss.gif - Uh... buggish wings, bare tail.
http://artdragon.mine.nu/~kat/aven/tunasta.html - Transparent multi-bug-wing-things, fuzzy ears, smooth body
... I have more females than males that would fit. X3
XD Seh-hallenge! *ahem*
Well lets see... multiple wings (and/or wings-in-other-places-than-on-the-back), webbed claws, dragonfly-type wings, seahorse-like face (if there are any out there.. <.<..), pupilless or just solid-color eyes, long ears, furlessness.. and small size. XD There are probably more, but I can't think propperly at the moment, apparently. *laff* So yeah, any of those, and really, one of the new guys, Genesis, is a gene-manipulator, so he can fiddle with the offsring if necessary. ^.~
XD Gol-darnit, if you were asking for females, I could send Fallath, http://artdragon.mine.nu/~kat/aven/fallath.html, who seems to have webbed feet, multi-wings-in-odd-places, and seahorse face.
Or Cerasenany! Multi-weird-wings, solid eyes, and reaaally really genetically manipulatable. :D http://artdragon.mine.nu/~kat/aven/sarcer.html
This is fun!
Not sure if these are what you're looking for, but they certainly qualify for the 'small' part, at least. (Seeing as they both have size-shifting and range from cat-sized to elephant-sized at largest)
Name: Kitsuneko
Email: silver_storyteller@yahoo.com
Dragon's Name: Tyuan'Assp
Dragon's Gender: Male
Dragon's URL: http://www.geocities.com/kad_12/tyreontyuan.html
Dragon's Name: Teset
Dragon's Gender: Female
Dragon's URL: http://www.geocities.com/kad_12/tyreonteset.html
I will look through my others later and see what other suitable dragons I have. :)
Darkling Dawn: Fauna Frenzy Open to candidates; flights open to males/females; rukel eggs/breedings available.
Drockh-Tallahn Castle: 3 eggs, 2 available. Females and males needed.
Sgiath Wolfkeep: 7 pups available
Sedona Weyr: 12 eggs, Deadline March 8. Chasers and a female needed.
I think I have several I could send... No time to fill out forms right now, but:
Ny'avaat Selamputo has dragonfly wings: http://shiolar.merseine.nu/mirus/nyavaat_selamputo.htm
Terius has lots of wings in a variety of places: http://shiolar.merseine.nu/mirus/terius.htm
I might have some others, but those to are just off the top of my head.
I have a butterfly dragon too... would those count?
Yesyes, Cheryss, Tunasta and Cerasenany would work quite nicely. ^.^! (Fallath has is half Saa though... which is where she gets those traits, actually. XD;) And really, I'm trying to get seperate lines, so a new female wouldn't be a bad thing. X3 And you never know, the next generation in line might be male.
I haven't gotten him up because he's part of a Carramba High page that's not finished yet, but my September exchange dragon from last year might want to participate!
http://www.deviant-uprising.com/nexus/v ... =9918#9918 is where his current only online appearance is. :) I'm going to dig out whatever I can for this... :)
lol - there are a number of Zekirans who could simply shapeshift down to a genetic level, but as always keep the 'color is never stable' and 'mutations occur at random' aspects, if you're interested in adding a little bit of their line. And by shapeshifting I mean: really. Treason for instance can appear as human as you or me, or http://www.geocities.com/invader_woz/treason-trans.gif or whatever he feels like. I should actually post the lot of the shapeshifters anyway, just in case someone wants to snag THEIR genes for something...
*laughs* Wish I had enough things already to help ya out. The only thing close to any of those requirements I could provide for is the pupilless eyes... For all of the shape of an Esecentas face I don't think it would quite do it... Or maybe it would. *thinks*
I don't know. I must wonder if an Esecentas head would be useful to getting you a step closer. If so I've got Arz'Glacialis'Eet. If you think it will help you then I am more than willing to toss him in for you. Plus size wouldn't matter because these babies have size-shifting ya know.
First of all, thanks to everyone who's submitted dragons so far. *heart!* I was sorta afraid no one would be willing to send anyone in. ^.^;; I'll be going through and pulling the most likely participants, both male and female, for the list-y thing as soon as I get the pages uploaded, most likely tomorrow.
JKat: *coos at the pretty butterfly dragon* Yes, just perrrrfect. *mwee!* I do love butterfly wings.
Nessie: I can hardly wait! ^.^ *little wibble of anticipation*
Dray: X3! Whenever you want; this is likely to be going on a little while. *salute!*
Shard: @.@ *waaaaaaaaannnnnnnt* *grabbyhands at exchange dragon* Such -pretty- wings! Holy cow, and shifters!! *small flail of want* XD When/if you get any of those guys up, feel free to send 'em on in! Please!
Carodos: Hmm, yeah, maybe not for the Project. ^.^; But I wouldn't turn him away from any normal VotS flight! I do love that serpentine bodyshape. *heart*
http://unykness.pegaruny.com/Lliyani/Sa ... i/project/
I'll be updating the list of participants shortly, but you can keep on sending in dragons even after the two males are chosen for the first two clutches. *salute*
(And JKat: if you want, I can have Cerasenany be a third 'base' for another line... X3)
Yus. <3 Well, it seemed like the best way to keep track of generations like these, y'know? ^.^; *snags bits and pieces of ideas from all over the place* X3
(Also, I just looked at the deadline in your sig for those multi-legged-multi-winged dragons and about died. ;.; I missed 'em! *small facepalm* Teach me to procrastinate. *sai* ... *shiftyeyes* I don't suppose you'd be willing to do a little trade, would ye?)
I actually extended the clutch because a lot of people seemed to miss it when they really wanted to get in on it. So it's open til Saturday for any last Candidates or Sponsors.
However, I'm not gonna say no to a trade if you're offering. I love the Unyko-artses.
*BEAM* Well, I doubt I can get a propper candidate thrown together by this weekend, so trade it is! :D PM me with what you'd like, be it an already drawn outline/clutch or a new one (or two or three! X3 Multiple trades are fun too!), and I'll do the same. ^.~! Sound good?
:3 Sure, Cera' would be... well, she'd be amused. XD
Here:
Name: JKatkina
Email: jkatkina@hotmail.com
Dragon's Name: Cerasenany
Dragon's Gender: Female
Dragon's URL: http://artdragon.mine.nu/~kat/aven/sarcer.html
Daemon traits are tenaciously dominant when they can be, so her children should be quite, well, genetically manipulable for several generations.
Shiolar, is that Saturday morning, or night? And if it's night, is it your time zone, or are you going to take into account that some of us are -8 hours from GMT? X3 I would like to try for your clutch (and I've only been missing out due to negligence in the past) but now that I'm in Res', I am so busy all this week that I barely get to touch the computer, let alone story-fy! Just want to know if I still have a chance if I hop onto it on my free Saturday morning and churn something out, or if I should simply hope for next time?
Here is Ibli! I had to tweak the page he's originally from a bit, because I hadn't expected to need him for such a thing. :) He's part of a group, the 2nd Period Pandas, which I'll eventually send out.
Your Name: Shard
Your Email: kshau_protectorate @ yahoo.com
Dragon's Name: Ibli
Dragon's Gender: Male
Dragon's URL: http://www.geocities.com/carramba_high_ ... s-ibli.htm
Average # of Offspring: unknown, probably 6
Naming Conventions: none known, is a gift dragon
Comments: Ibli's got no pedigree, but he's a bit of a xeno-racist. He really prefers his kind over any other, though he's the only one of HIS kind really out there! So - some female will have to put up with his arrogant crap...
