Hee...I was actually trying to have the wings be the forearms, but when I gave up I left the hand part 'cause it looked cool...

I haven't decided on a name for the species yet but they're common thus only have a breath weapon (fire), verbal speech and the ability to use the Planes of Travel...

Then we have hug falcon wings, front legs that turn into raptor-feet with large claws. Then the back half blends smoothly into a dragon with feathers on his/her tail. Maybe with some pretty colored feathers on the end or something. Oooh and green eyes. That'd look cool. That was probably the hardest request I have ever gotten. I hope I didn't butcher it too badly (I know the proportion is pretty hopeless, it looked ok until completely colored

Kayla! I got you, and while I never did get to hear the song, I found a site with the lyrics, and that helped. I didn't quite get all the features, but I kinda like the way he turned out.

Personality/History: (If you don't like this, feel free to change it; this is just the story that came to mind)
This dragon has been a bit superficial for most of his life, feeling that appearances are very important, but that if you don't like the way you look, it doesn't matter how others view you. He claims to have shaped his wings to their current appearance several years ago, because he thought they looked neat, and hasn't felt like altering them back to their previous appearance. No one is sure if this is true, as no one knows what he looked like before. (If you don't like his wings, it is, and they won't breed true; if you do like them, they can be his real ones, and they will; all up to you!)
He has recently begun feeling as if something is missing from his life, as if something that was important to him has vanished, but he doesn't know what. The fact that he has a memory gap of almost a year compounds this feeling. He has also started having dreams of a pretty woman he almost recognizes, but can't place. While he prefers to eat fruits and vegetables, he refuses to touch apples, except to look them over thoroughly, after a disturbing dream where the pretty girl was turned into an apple...

I'm going to be late. There's nothing I can do about it. I'm not finished with my image, and I'm not going to whip something up in an hour and throw it up here just to have something. I'm going on vacation, and as far as I know, there won't be any scanners I can hijack for my own devices. I *might* be able to get up at two AM on january first, but no earlier, because I'm going to a party right off the train from boston, and I won't be able to even get home and shower. I'm really sorry about this, I did try to finish in time, but I just couldn't get my sketch right.

Description: Have you ever played Jak and Daxter? Or at least heard of it? The concept is a story line involving a big, silent guy who does all the muscle work and a little chatty guy who always gets the big one into trouble. Well, I've been thinking of these two as something similar. The bigger one is strong, silent and very fluid in his/her movements, while the little robot one is annoyingly chatty. They work together because they're best friends, despite what trouble may come of it. One never travels without the other.

Also, those viney-wingy things on the big one are actually wings. He/she can stretch them out and make them 'solid' when he/she needs to fly. The little one may have small wings, but flies like a humming bird. :3 Even more annoyingness!

And the adult is here. Might take a while to load, but it's worth it... you'll want to sit and watch it for a while, it has several different glows that appear and fade.

Starburst!

Sorry if this isn't exactly what you had in mind. She is ... unusual, as dragon species go. One of my first draconic races, in fact, invented way back in middle school. I haven't drawn one of these in years, but when you said anthro dragon, I knew I had to try my hand at a Centuran.

Centurans are an older dragon species of mine, which I've never drawn for adoption purposes before. They are from a sci-fi universe so they don't have any magical ability to speak of, but they can talk telepathically and also read people's emotions (empathy). They are largely aquatic and amphibious, and can survive equally well on land or in water, though they prefer to bathe or shower at least twice per day. Because of their empathic nature, they are a peaceful and nonviolent race, and had no knowledge of war whatsoever until about seventy years ago when their homeworld was invaded and they were forced to learn to fight to defend themselves. Even now they will not commit violence until they have exhausted all other possibilities. This Centuran would probably come from the northern hemisphere of her homeworld, and is therefore well adapted to cold climates, and perfectly happy taking a bath in ice water. Needless to say, Centurans are of full human intelligence, and are in general more like humans than the are like dragons, save for their appearance. Their wings are only capable of flying short distances, or gliding down from high places, but their real strength lies in propelling them through water at high speeds. They cannot bond humans, but they can bond other dragons similarly to how a human would bond a dragon. As for breeding with other dragon species, er, well, I'd never thought about it before! But I don't see why not, however, keep in mind that their wings would cause problems for long-duration "mating flights," and that their mate should be of at least human intelligence.

Oh yeah, and the shape shifting ability is a technology of their homeworld, not an engrained genetic ability.

Theme: Insects! Still working on my insect collection. I'd like to see a dragon/griffin/anything that has an insect theme. Pick any bug or buglike critter (spider, scorpion, etc) and turn it into a dragon/griffin/whatever. You can make it physically as insecty or non-insecty as you like! Could be anything from a dragon/griffin/whatever with the insect's colour pattern, to a creature that's so heavily based on its insect theme that it's barely recognizable as a dragon/griffin/whatever!

A Gold Smith Beetle, in anthro form. Two arms, one pair of legs in shiny mettalic gold surface the same as the scarab, wings the same dusted gold, very hard and flutters. None of that inner lace sutff though. ^^ (anyone else think I know what I'm talking about?) Hard shiny helmet of sorts, antennas and the mouth clicky things in the same burnt rust as the hands and stuff in the photo. She can talk telepathically, and although it looks like she has no mouth, she does eat with the aid of those things. Slightly flurry, if you have an insect fetish, she's your girl. Flies, doesn't morph.
Egyptian theme because of scarabs and beetles. Bright golden because of color name, and also very vividly neon bright because she's facing the sun. Although she does sometimes eat, most of the time she gets her energy more like a plant, photosynthesizing. Sort of linking into the idea of Ra, the mighty sun god, and she paying tribute to him.
What else... shiny, black eyes that are actually as hard as marbles. Smart, she stands at human tall and weighs a ton because of the whoel shiny hard surface thing. Digestive system in between a plant and a human, can reproduce as both.(human and insect)
No fingers or toes, but very delicate hands and feet. Work similarly to claws.
