2. how much of a story do you need and does it need to be connected to the weyr?
3. can i swap out my suggested character with a character with a story and use the suggested char in a later clutch?

>_> The BWR-thingie is about as far-removed from a Weyr as an apple is from a shark-with-a-lazer-on-its-head. XD It's held on a space-station called Star City, and is really a semi-private clutch, where the parents interview the potential sponsor, and the kits get to meet said sponsors and then choose who they want to go with. There will be no actual bonding/Impressions from this clutch, just sponsorships/adoptions.

The story doesn't have to be long, unless you're really inspired, and I prefer if it has at least /something/ to do with the character's arrival and maybe even conversation with the kits. Hopefully through legitimate means of transportation, instead of accident! XD

You can swap in a story, but you'll have to re-send your character-suggestion sheet again for the next clutch, so that everyone has a fair chance of getting in on it. :)

I hope that that answers your questions!

Okay, I'll try to remember! XD Hopefully it'll be soon, probably once I finish up with the story for the next batch of kits. I've been trying to finish up profile pages for dragons and dragon-riders that were just bare-bones like this, but I need to get other things up before I do that. Like my Merideti... ^.^;;; And you're welcome!

I need to write up an information section. It's my bad. ^_^"

You can get their either by magic portal, technological wormhole sorts of portals, or starship. XD Star City caters to all of your transportation needs!

In fact, I'm sure that they have designated 'landing zones' that they buffer all incoming teleportations to, so that people don't randomly appear in the middle of a crowd. XD

It's soooo nice writing in a world where offworld travel happens, if only rarely. On Cyrna the art of offworld travel was supposed to have been lost and I had to come up with progressively lamer excuses for candidates to somehow end up offworld.

XD You need to have people import the technology when they get back from their offworld jaunts--if only to a small area/location or something!

This will be very helpful information when I write up my "candidate"! Whoo! Staceship travel! That's how my planet's inhabitants get from one place to another when there are no dragons involved!

first off - *squeeee* wingless long-legged dragons! :DDD *pounce* and the next clucth is MUCH adorable, must send someone! *digs through notes*

Heh, I've fudged alot of details about Star City myself and have done my best to cover it up. ^^ quick clarify - is there a mall-like area (lots of stores) somewhere on Star City? My mental image includes one (it's a city, right? XD ) but I've been nervious about writing one in(stupid really).

One of the levels is pretty much a giant, continuous mall. XD That'd be the commercial level--though it holds everything from boutiques and restaurants to office-cubicles, etc. Think of it as a giant market... hmm, well, you know how there are those desert-markets with all of the tents and stalls and stuff? This place is kind of haphazard like that, but it sells and trades just about /everything/. And there area several floors-worth of tiers that line the main road. The stalls off the main-road are the gaudiest, most in-your-face sorts of places, though as you go back and up you'll probably find more sophisticated shops, stores and business environments.

I hope that helps!

Dray, I are dumb. I realized I never showed you Rabosii's link :3

http://splintyr.com/dragons/rabosii.html

I love him unto tiny pieces. The first story linked on his page is about Rabosii AND Halkyr....
Please totally ignore the "Rabosii Returns To His Roots" story because there is like, one paragraph done XD (I plan on sending him as a candidate to the current BWR clutch!)

Oh yeah, I must have just forgotten to add Mystic's name to the list, though she definitely /did/ get him. :) I've got him in my records already, I just haven't been updating the site. (Usually I just do a site-wide updating spree at every hatching. ^^)

After this white clutch closes (14 more days to enter - 7 more spots free for someone like you to enter!) I'm putting the BWR on a break. For one thing, the next clutch is part bipedra--the mother is Toyrt-mow, which means that there'll be a variable number of heads (and wings! :D)... but I haven't figured out how to colour templates with removable parts yet, so I'm kind of stuck.
For another, the next clutch (the red one) had a template partially drawn, but I had to leave the sketchbook that it was in behind... and it's going to take me a while to computer-ink the scanned page, since that's often tedious work with a mouse.

So, excuses aside, the BWR is going to be taking a break, which will probably be rather short. Once the white clutch is out, I'll be reverting to the two-week deadline. >_> I feel like this one is really dragging on!

HEHE!! *petfluffs Masey Sislen-Oranato and Mystic and gamphs away* just wanted to be sure!! hehe

etou. . . wot i did with the ones that don't have all the same markings is draw everything on the outline, scan and outline. then i duplicate the outline layer and erase the parts that won't be on whichever one i'm working on. lol i means i had a LOT of layers, though! hehe maybe that'll help. . xD;;;

I've been taking any applications and putting them in a text file since the BWR started, because I knew that my goals would shift over the course of the clutches that were put out. Originally I hadn't included Toyrt-mow with other black applicants because she hadn't fit the list of requirements (mostly because she was a hydra, and I wasn't looking for them, at the time. ^^) Now that I'm swinging through hydra-types, she definitely fits, so I put her up on the official list. >_> Originally I was going to use Cheran'Khan first, but since I kept a black male from the last clutch, I needed a hydra-type female.

I wouldn't worry too much about Toyrt-mow having to be in two places at once... at this point, if you want to keep everything in-character, the BWR is fairly far into the future.

In any case, I've already drawn, inked, scanned and reformatted the image, so all I have left to do is colour and shade them. @_@" I would be very grateful if you let me use her, since I spent all of that time on them!

After thinking about it for a while, Myrror, if you want me to not use Toyrt-mow, I could always ask for similar-looking dragonesses if there are any out there in the Nexus, that way you wouldn't have to worry about her having offspring in two places at relatively the same time. :) I just need to find a similar dragoness so the offspring's appearance still makes sense. ^_^
